REAP Sabah, Malaysia Evangelists Report for July - December 2025

Dear Partners in the Harvest,

Shalom and greetings in Jesus’ matchless and mighty name. I trust you are experiencing God’s goodness and grace as you serve and honour Him.

Thank you for your faithful support and prayers for the gospel outreach in Sabah.

The combined labour of 36 REAP Sabah evangelists yielded:
Over 67,958 evangelised,                                                                     
Over 18,381 conversions to Christ,                                                       
Over 6,892 baptised,                                                                           
149 rural churches planted, and                                                           
7,200 Bibles sent to the new converts.

We give glory to God and thank you for partnership in the gospel.            (2 Cor. 9: 6; Is. 55: 11)

Below are the reports of your evangelists in Sabah for your prayers and thanksgiving.

JK

JK is a 54-year-old married man with four children.

Prayer Requests
Pray for:
1) The faith of congregation members who have just accepted Jesus Christ. May they have a longing to read God's Word, be faithful in prayer, and continue to grow in their knowledge of God so their faith becomes increasingly firm.
2) God to raise up people in the congregation who have a heart to serve. May God call and prepare faithful, humble, and willing new successors to be equipped to continue the church's ministry.
3) The Pastor health, strength, and protection in carrying out ministry responsibilities. May God preserve mental, and spiritual health to the pastor so they can continue to serve faithfully and enthusiastically.
4) Wisdom to leaders in planning and leading group ministry. May every plan be led by the Holy Spirit and bring spiritual growth and unity in the congregation.
5) The faith of senior citizens to be strengthen so they remain faithful to God until the end of their lives. May they continue to be examples of faith, patience, and faithfulness to the younger generation.

I am truly grateful to God for His presence in the ministry entrusted to me. In this ministry journey, it is undeniable that there are various challenges, obstacles, and situations that sometimes weaken the spirit. There are times when ministry feels heavy and the path is not easy. Every time I feel weak, God gives new strength. Every time I face obstacles, God gives courage and hope to keep going. I realize that if it weren't for God's help, I wouldn't be able to persevere until today, the one who enables me to continue serving faithfully, gives strength when I am about to give up and reminds me that this ministry does not depend on human strength, but on God's grace and power.

JA

JA is a 40-year-old man who is married with five children.

Prayer Requests
Pray for:
1) The faith of SIB LL congregation to be healthy and matured through God's Word and fellowship and God to raise young people with a heart to serve, to be trained and equipped as future church leaders.
2) SIB LL church leaders that they are enthusiastic, having spiritual strength committed to serve God with a fearing heart, full of wisdom and be an example to the congregation.
3) The leadership's plan to build Pastor's accommodation at SIB LL and God will open doors for funding, building materials, and labour so the project runs smoothly and is completed on time.
4) My family and me for God's financial provision and protection with good health and to serve Him faithfully.
5) God would bless our children with wisdom, health and protection in their studies and shaping their character to fear God and have a blessed future.

Praise God for His love and grace. Till today, my family and I are still serving God. In this ministry, though we sometimes face struggles especially in meeting daily needs and children's schooling, God never forsake us.

We are also grateful for God's presence in the ministry at SIB LL. God opened the way for the church building to be repaired, and now the congregation can worship more comfortably. Some congregation members have started taking part in ministry services.

PB

PB is a 35-year-old male who is married and has four children.

Prayer Requests
Pray for:
1) Faith of new believes to be strengthen they remain steadfast in following Christ. May they be diligent in fellowship, reading God's Word and growing spiritually so they are not easily swayed by challenges or external influences.
2) Ministry at SIB S Church to be given strength and courage to preach the Gospel. May the Holy Spirit lead every service so many souls are reached and come to God.
3) God to bless every plan and process towards making SIB S a local church. May God provide leaders, faithful congregation members and all necessary resources so this plan can be implemented well.
4) Unity of SIB S congregation. May they love each other, support each other in ministry and live in humility so the church becomes strong and a good testimony to the surrounding community.
5) The construction of SIB S's PKK class. May the construction process go smoothly, and this place can be used to guide children to know God from a young age and grow in faith in Christ.

Praise and thanks to God for His presence and faithful love in this ministry. In recent times, there were some congregation members who had been absent from church services for a long time. This situation became a burden on my heart, so I continued to bring them in prayer and tried to visit them personally. Through visits, conversations, and prayer together, I saw how God worked slowly in their hearts. God softened their hearts and revived their longing to come to God. I am very grateful because some of them have started attending church also started getting involved in ministry. This testimony strengthens my faith that when we are faithful in prayer and do not give up in serving, God Himself works in people's hearts.

God is the one who restores, draws back, and strengthens His congregation. May all glory belong to God, because He is the one who has restored and strengthened His congregation's faith.

RG

RG is a 31-year-old man who is married with one child.

Prayer Requests
Pray for:
1) Our family to be given strength and health from God. Protection from illness, extreme fatigue and all disturbances that can weaken our ministry.
2) Our economy that God will provide for all our financial needs for the family and fruitfulness in my ministry.
3) Unity in the ministry at SG and KL that God would unite the hearts. May there be no division but love, cooperation, and mutual respect for the advancement of the ministry and the glory of God's name.
4) God to grant wisdom, discernment, and spiritual sensitivity in every decision, plan, and action of the ministry this year, so that every step is led by the Holy Spirit.
5) My ministry in evangelism to be effective

Praise God for His love and presence in our family's life and ministry. In the journey of serving God, we realize that everything can only be done through God's strength and grace. Although there are specific struggles, we see God's faithful hand keeping and strengthening us so that we can still serve with a peaceful heart and full faith. God also continues to renew our passion to preach the Gospel. Every opportunity to serve becomes a joy because we see how God works in the hearts of those who hear His Word. There are souls who have heard the Gospel and we trust that God Himself is preserving their faith to continue growing.

We are also grateful to see the unity that God has built in the church between leaders and congregation.

JB

JB is a 38-year-old male who is married with one child.

Prayer Requests
Pray for:
1) Pray for new souls who have been baptized that their faith be strengthen and be rooted in Christ (Colossians 2:6-7), be faithful in reading and understanding God's Word, growing spiritually, remain steadfast in following Jesus despite pressures from their old life.
2) Plan to build evangelist's house in SIB S Group, that God would provide funds, building materials, and labour needed to complete the evangelist's house and may this become a centre for Gospel ministry, spiritual building for the congregation, and a sending point for evangelism.
3) Our child's education at UTM for the final year (2026) and that God would give wisdom, health, discipline, and perseverance in studies to enable every future decision, open good opportunities, and make this education a tool to glorify God in their life and calling.
4) Every ministry plan be led by God's will, done in the Holy Spirit's power, and bear eternal fruit for God's Kingdom (John 15:16) and may every program bring souls to Christ and strengthen the congregation's faith.
5) Pray for protection, health, and spiritual health and strength of God's servants and to remain faithful in ministry, not grow weary in God's work, and continue serving with a loving heart till the end (1 Corinthians 15:58).

When we served in SL, God showed His work in unexpected ways. One day, a couple suddenly came to us. A congregation member said they were from a pagan background. I took the opportunity to talk with them and share the Gospel. Praise God, the Holy Spirit worked in their hearts. They opened and received Jesus as their Lord and Savior. A few days later, God showed His amazing work again. I baptized 8 people, all from old belief backgrounds.

This experience reminds me, when we step obediently in ministry, God provides souls and completes His work. We are just tools in His hands, but God gives the growth.

MM

MM is a 44-year-old single female.

Prayer Requests
Pray for:
1) God to open hearts of people in ministry areas where SDA doctrine is strong and less open to other denominations and bless with wisdom, patience and love in approaching ministry, so relationships open and unity.
2) Unity for the church leaders and congregation that they support, respect each other and serve humbly.
3) Every financial need of the church to expand the church building and move the hearts of congregation and supporters to help, so the church can be expanded and provide more comfortable space for worship.
4) God's wisdom in my ministry decisions about plans to move to another ministry, showing His will clearly, unless if God still puts a burden on the heart to keep serving here.
5) God would touch the hearts of extended family who do not know Jesus and are Muslim, opening opportunities to share with love and wisdom, so one day they can know Christ's love and receive salvation in Him.

Praise and glory only to Jesus, owner of all ministry fields and Lord of His harvesters. Throughout 2025 I am grateful for God's presence in every ministry.

Though progress was not drastic but by God's grace there were soul additions and some church development, though much still needs prayer and effort. I have learnt in ministry, my job is to pray and keep praying, while God will do the rest.
