REAP Sabah, Malaysia Evangelists Report for July - December 2022

Shalom! Greetings in the matchless name of our Lord, God, and Saviour Jesus Christ. I trust you are being kept encouraged by the grace and goodness of God. 

We give thanks for the continuous forward march of the gospel in Sabah through your prayers and support. The work of 45 REAP Sabah evangelists saw:
- over 61,300 evangelised
- over 14,800 conversions to Christ
- over 5,200 baptised
- 148 rural churches planted, and
- 7,200 bibles in Bahasa Malaysia given to new believers.

All glory to God! Thank you once again. Below are reports from your REAP evangelists for your prayers and thanksgiving. 

JK

JK is a 54-year-old married man with four children.

Prayer Requests
Pray for:
1) The new believers to be faithful and obedient to God
2) The believers' economic welfare to improve
3) The ministry calendar to be carried out according to God's will and bear fruit
4) The pastor to be less painful with gout
5) Those who have not yet believed in the Lord Jesus, to open their hearts and accept the gospel

I thank God that although I am currently ministering at a new place where the believers require regular follow-up, the Holy Spirit is working in their hearts to desire God and His Word fervently. Praise God for the 40 who heard the gospel and the 25 who responded to it. 

JA

JA is a 40-year-old man who is married with five children.

Prayer Requests
Pray for:
1) The new believers to grow in their faith
2) The old believers who are not strong in their faith, that a new breakthrough may take place in their life
3) My 5 children to grow up well, both physically and spiritually
4) Our economic situation to improve
5) Me to be continually fervent and fired up for the ministry

Praise God for His preserving care in our lives. For a while now, we had been praying for a spiritual breakthrough in the lives of the believers in SLL. Then sometime in early November, we began seeing more families committed to attending church service. They were faithful in attending every service held. We believe this is answered prayer, and that the Holy Spirit was working in their hearts. Pray these families continue to hunger and thirst for God's Word, and grow in their personal walk with God. 

PB

PB is a 35-year-old male who is married and has four children.

Prayer Requests
Pray for:
1) God to give me strength and courage in preaching the gospel
2) The believers of SS to faithfully come to church
3) The evangelistic programs planned for 2023 to run effectively well
4) My family to continually persevere in serving God; only with His help can we flourish
5) The newly baptised believers to also persevere in their faith

Praise God for His intervening hand that strengthened and enabled us to preach to 15 persons, of whom 8 came to know Christ and were baptised. Praise God for supplying me with words to preach His Word that moved hearts to accept the gospel. Praise God. 

RG

RG is a 31-year-old man who is married with one child.

Pray for:
1) The spiritual growth of the believers
2) Me to be given strength to serve the church and overcome every challenge faced
3) The believers to be enthusiastic in coming to church for corporate worship
4) The family that have newly accepted Christ (10 of them) and for the four who have been baptised, that they remain strong in the Lord

I am thankful to God for His goodness and mercy in my life, that I was able to reach out to 11 souls. And thankful to the Lord for drawing 10 of them to Him. God's miraculous power is helping me overcome my challenges. Praise Him. 

RTWK

RTWK is a 28-year-old male who is married.

Pray for:
1) The believers to stay strong in their faith
2) The spiritual growth of those whom we are currently serving
3) The church leaders to be authoritative as they stand to do right
4) Me, as the Lord leads to a new place and new ministry
5) Those who have just accepted Christ into their lives personally, to develop an intimate relationship with Him

I am thankful to the Lord for His presence in my life as an evangelist. Seeing the growth of the believers encourages me to serve the Lord more! Praise God for the 23 who readily heard the Word of the Lord and five of them who received Christ into their hearts; three of them baptised and two being counseled. Praise God for opening hearts to receive His gospel.

BS is a 41-year-old male who is a widow.

Pray for:
1) The smooth administration of my IC documentation process
2) The family of NBL to remain firm in Christ
3) The setup of a new cell group in BP
4) Our upcoming ministry in 2023 to be fruitful and reap a harvest
5) God to smoothen the repair of the car which we use for ministry

I thank God for His help in giving me strength and courage to reach new souls with the gospel, that 13 received Christ into their lives. I thank God for his protection, wisdom and enabling.
