REAP Indonesia Update January - June 2023

Dear Partners in the Harvest,

Shalom and peace, joy and blessings as we anticipate the coming Christmas 2023. We rejoice that as we sow together in gospel partnership, we can harvest for the glory of God.

The combined labour of 17 REAP Indonesia evangelists saw:

Over 55,994 gospel tracts distributed,
Over 95,482 verbally given the gospel,
Over 7,204 conversions to Christ, and
26 rural churches planted.

Praise God for the harvest with your prayers and partnership.

Below are the reports from your REAP evangelists for your prayers and thanksgiving.

3) Pray for a young man who met an accident. His nose was broken, and he is presently under medical treatment. May he recover well and speedily.
4) The Lord has taken my wife to be with Him. Pray for me that I can manage my family.

In February 2023, my wife went back to the Lord because of sickness. Me and my family are still in mourning. I seek the Lord for his strength as my wife had been very supportive of my ministry. Thank the Lord for His strength and peace.

Prayer Requests
Pray for:
1) My big family who are staying near or far, that they will depend on our Lord for their living.
2) For my first child who is going to a secondary school. May our Lord grant him wisdom so that he can cope with his study.
3) My ministry, may our Lord lead me.
4) For the community in our village, that the church can bless them
5) For my work and my wife's work so that we have enough to sustain my family.

Despite the challenges, I felt my service to Him is led and guided by Him. We had an awful experience in one of our trips to a village. While on the way back from evangelism in that village, a landslide occurred. The road ahead and the road behind us were blocked by the earth. It was a frightful experience and some of my friends cried. Thank God for saving us.

Praise God we are given the opportunity to serve Him in two villages. We have not encountered any resistance or difficulty despite the presence of other religions.

S

Ministry report Jan - June 2023
Number of tracts distributed - 0 (verbal evangelism)

Prayer Requests
Pray for:
1) The congregation to grow in the Lord
2) Our ministries, from Sunday School to youth work, and also our Sunday service.
3) The members of our church will put God first in their life.
4) Our school going children to do well in their study. For the college graduates, that they will be able to find work.
5) My family, regardless of whatever the situation, we can serve the Lord with patience and in the best of our ability.
6) The people will vote wisely for new leaders to lead the country for the next 5 years.

While praying for a family who had a sick member, God answered my prayer and the person received a miraculous healing from the Lord Jesus, and thereafter received Jesus into his life.

As year-end approaches, I am very grateful to God. Many miracles took place, and I can see God's own hand in providing for me, preserving and protecting me, loving me as the apple of His eye. My prayer is God uses me powerfully in bringing souls to Christ and in teaching His Word, that I be a blessing and strength to the people here in the place of ministry. In my challenges, God will enable. God bless.

5) The Lord will bless me with strength and joy as I serve Him.

I am grateful for the presence of the Almighty God in my life. For the past 6 months, we struggled in the church when quite a number of our members passed away due to sicknesses. As a church the congregation came together to pray in one accord for God's intervention. Praise the Lord, we saw members being healed one by one. Additionally, three non-believers were healed and now they are attending the church.
