REAP Indonesia Update January - June 2018

Shalom and greetings in the name of our mighty God and Saviour. Praise God for the continuing harvest in Indonesia - the most populous Muslim country, and for your partnership to make it possible. 

The combined efforts of 18 REAP Indonesia evangelists yielded:

- over 36,000 gospel tracts distributed
- over 29,000 verbally given the gospel
- over 2,560 conversions to Christ, and
- over 580 baptised

Praise the Lord that together we can make a greater impact. Thank you. Below are your REAP evangelist's reports for your prayers and thanksgiving. 

M

M is a 47 year old male who is married and has four children.

Prayer Requests
Pray for:
1) Congregation to grow and be matured in their faith
2) The 24 people who have been baptised will grow stronger in the Lord
3) The graduation of our two children in October 2018
4) Speedy recovery for the injury that I had on my leg due to an accident
5) Wisdom, perseverance and strength to share the gospel

I thank God, since the setting up of our church in this area we have seen many changes within the vicinity. Thefts have lessened and people are more open to the gospel. Many have repented and accepted Christ as their Lord and Saviour. Many who dabble in shamanism have given up this practice after knowing God. Praise be to God!

AS

A is a 38 year old male who is married.

Pray for:
1) The church and the congregation to grow physically and spiritually
2) My evangelism ministry, we will be able to overcome difficulties and challenges with God's grace
3) My father and siblings who are still unbelievers
4) My family, wife and children, for protection and wisdom
5) Us, to be a good testimony for our Lord

Thank the Lord for enabling me to preach the Word of God. I am able to overcome challenges and obstacles with God's grace. Most of the time, I am a bit nervous when I share the gospel to people who are better educated than me. By God's grace at times I am able to hold on to the sharing without fear. I know God is with me, who can be against me. Amen!

1) The services at schools and churches 
2) Good health for my family 
3) Physical and financial needs of the church
4) Fruitfulness in evangelism
5) Family involvement in sharing the gospel

Praying at all times is our duty as a believer. We are praying for the Holy Spirit to work in this ministry. Praying for new souls to accept Christ. Indonesia is a Muslim country and it is quite hard to share the gospel with them nowadays for they have become more religious in their Muslim faith and they find the gospel is not the truth. Pray that God will intervene and open up their hearts and eyes to know him. Please pray for us evangelists as we go round sharing the gospel to these people. Thanks. 

S

S is a 40 year old male who is married with one child.

Prayer Requests
Pray for:
1) Spiritual growth for all members
2) Provisions - we are building a new church
3) Teenagers and young adults to grow stronger in their faith in God
4) Indonesia and the election that will be held on 27 June. Pray for freedom of worship for all races/faiths.
5) Our grieving brothers in Surabaya. Lately the suicide bombers attacked the churches during Sunday worship. 

In Indonesia we have many religions and animism which is different from Christian teachings. The D and E tribes worship idols and it is a bit difficult to change their mindset. We need the Holy Spirit for a breakthrough in them so that they can believe in Jesus. I have been relentlessly trying to share the gospel to the D's. Most of them will listen but dare not make the decision to come out of their idolatry worship. I pray that in God's time these people will come to know God. On our part we have sown the seed, God will do the rest. Amen.

I had a dream where God told me that my church will grow in numbers. Now I see that this dream was true. My church is growing with many new souls. Praise be to God!
