REAP Sarawak Evangelists Report for January - June 2019
Shalom and the Lord's protection for you, family and church in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic.
The faithful work of 83 REAP Sarawak evangelists yielded:
- over 132,600 evangelised verbally
- over 49,400 gospel tracts distributed
- over 37,400 conversions to Christ
- over 15,500 baptised
- over 4,300 bibles given to new believers, and
- 317 new rural churches planted
Praise be to God for the rich harvest and all glory to Him. Thank you for practical fellowship in matters that matter for eternity. Below are reports from your evangelists for your prayers and thanksgiving.
CJC
CJC is a 63 year old man who is single.

Prayer Requests
Pray for:
1) Our health and daily needs to be met sufficiently by our Provider
2) The welfare of families so that their daily needs may be met
3) The believers who are mostly working in town
4) The new believers to be strong in their faith
Praise God for working in the young people's hearts and drawing them to Him. Many returned during the year-end celebrations.
DM
DM is a male who is married with two children.

1) The K's that have been recently preached to
2) The D area where 80% are Malays and 20% Iban
3) Believers to be strong in the Lord
4) The plans to buy a new house for the pastor
5) Wisdom for the pastor as he leads the ministry
Praise God for healing the sick - a man with kidney disease and a lady who could not defecate were healed after prayer.
JM
JM is a 58 year old man who is married.

Pray for:
1) Spiritual growth of those who accepted the Lord
2) Those who sat for SPM and UPSR to desire to pursue their studies

4) The youth in our society to exercise self-control in revelling, drinking and even drugs
5) God to preserve my family to serve Him more lovingly and with joy
Praise God for the active and responsive youth ministry. I can see the Lord blessing us and prospering His work.
WMS
WMS is a 35 year old single man.

Pray for:
1) Those who have been evangelised to, to respond to the gospel
2) Health and protection in our travels
3) Those who have accepted the gospel and been baptised to be effective witnesses for God
4) The new place that my team and me are visiting this year
5) Those who are still bonded by the evil spirit, drunkenness and darkness
Praise God for many souls whom we preached to, have opened up to the gospel. Many have embraced Jesus and come to church.
TJK
TJK is a 70 year old married man with four children.

Pray for:
1) The believers to have a love for the lost and desire to share the gospel
2) Our evangelistic group to be strengthened and encouraged in the ministry
3) Our discipleship program that students may be equipped in the Word
4) More pastors that can help in follow-up of new believers
5) God's sufficiency in our ministry needs - for us to trust Him to provide
Praise God for His leading throughout the ministry this year. His grace is sufficient and He leads us in the way everlasting.
ML
ML is a 35 year old female who is married with four children.

Prayer Requests
Pray for:
1) Physical strength and enabling for me to serve Him effectively
2) God's word to grow and flourish in the hearts of the believers
3) Two families that have received Jesus Christ and surrendered their amulets to be burnt
4) God to preserve and protect my family from the evil one
5) God to open the hearts of non-believers to see He is the only Way, the Truth and the Life
Praise God for bringing back those who have not come for a long time. They are now restored in fellowship and being strengthened in their faith.
Praise God for the inter-denominational groups worshipping with us. An Anglican couple particularly have grown so much in faith and are bursting over with love for the Lord and His people.

Pray for:
1) Every church set up to remain strong in their faith and love for God
2) Every church leader to be wise in leading the flock
3) Everyone in my team to be of one heart and mind in Jesus
4) The needs of every church to be met sufficiently by our Lord God, and that we may encourage them to plod on
5) Availability of land plot to build homes for the pastors
Praise God for all that He has seen me through. I want to serve Christ more and may He take me across many, many lands. May His kingdom expand across Sarawak.
EG
EG is a 29 year old female who is married with two children.

Prayer Requests
Pray for:
1) The head of households and villages to be receptive of the evangelists when they come to preach
2) The families of school children who have accepted the Lord, that through their children they may come to the saving knowledge of Jesus too
3) A 9 year old boy who comes from a very problematic family - the father killed the mother in front of his eyes and now he has labelled as a murderer's son. Pray for the young boy's heart.
4) My family as many still have not believed in the Lord Jesus. Pray for those of us who have believed to be salt and light to the rest of the unbelieving ones.
5) Me to serve the Lord faithfully, that I may be a fragrant offering in His eyes. Pray for wisdom, strength, humility and health that I may be salt and light to the surrounding community especially the children under my care.
I am so glad that when my family returned for the Gawai festival, we were allowed to hold church services. The head of K has since relented and no longer condemns Christians of destroying old Iban traditions. Continue to pray for his heart to soften and one day accept the gospel himself.
God is so good to me and my family. My mum's cousin and her whole family accepted the Lord Jesus into their lives.
I thank God for the children who came to the PKK camp at our church. Although they are only 7-12 years old, they pine for God's love and his saving grace. Some of their families have violent backgrounds and these children carry the burdens with them. I pray these children become salt and light to their unbelieving family and the power of Christ will shine through violence, anger, rage and scandals. I pray the parents may come to know the Lord through their own children.
PAB
PAB is a 42 year old female who is married with five children.

Prayer Requests
Pray for:
1) God's sustenance and gracious providence on WT's family who has been suffering from a stroke for the last four years
2) God to move hearts in NT village - many have not yet accepted the Lord, only 20% have responded in faith
3) My cell group who are mostly young believers and youth. We visit the sick and those wh ohave not come to the church in a long time. Pray God would meet our transportation and financial needs for this ministry.
4) Our Sunday school which currently has very few children. Pray God would move the hearts of the mothers to bring their children.
5) God to protect our home with peace and harmony - my husband is not consistent with his job as there is a lack of timber supply and my kids who are schooling and jobless
Praise God for our growing cellgroup - we have many youths and the number is growing.
I also thank God for answering my prayer - my mother was at one point very sick but now she is healed and doing well.
