REAP Sarawak, Malaysia Evangelists Report for July - December 2024

Shalom! Greetings in the precious name of our Lord, God, and Saviour Jesus Christ. I trust you are being kept encouraged by the grace and goodness of God.

We give thanks for the fruitful gospel sharing in Sarawak. Thank you for your faithful support and prayers for gospel outreach in Sarawak.

The work of the 35 REAP Sarawak evangelists saw:
- over 232,331 evangelised verbally,
- over 52,640 gospel tracts given,
- over 51, 646 conversions to Christ,
- over 20,447 baptised,
- 593 churches planted, and
- 4,400 bibles given.

We give the glory to God and thank you for your faithful sowing and prayers in gospel partnership. (Phil. 1: 3 - 5, 2 Cor. 9: 6)

Below are the reports of your REAP evangelists for your prayers and thanksgiving. 

DM 

DM is a 45-year-old male who is married with three children.

Prayer Requests
Pray for:
1) The Lord Jesus' blessing in all our ministry
2) The place we evangelised that God will soften and open the hearts of everyone who has heard the Gospel and accepted God
3) A miracle that can open the eyes of the M's who are being deceived to be able to see the extraordinary power of Jesus.
4) The opportunity to preach the Gospel openly to the Malays
5) Unity among the believers in the 'D' area and in the church

There was a father who had a stroke. He cannot stand, sit or talk anymore. He also does not want to see anyone except his grandson who was with him since a child. After the Sunday service, we were taken by the head of the ministry to this father's house where he was lying on his bed. He did not respond to any of our greetings. Seeing no response coming from him, I prayed loudly and slowly his eyes opened and he looked at us. Once again, I asked how he is, he nodded his head. So, I shared the gospel loudly and then prayed. His family was so worried for his health. I told them to trust in Jesus and all will be well. Praise God, till today this father is getting better each day. Nothing is impossible for the Lord Jesus. 

CJ

CJ is a 32-year-old man who is married with one child.

Prayer Requests
Pray for:
1) The restoration of the UlSn group that their church will be completed this year
2) Our son who is starting pre-school this year
3) The election of the church council for each church group to be as per God's will
4) The young adults that they will come to know Jesus through us and their Christian friends
5) All God's servants who are serving faithfully to have God's wisdom and boldness

There was a village head of a longhouse who has a rare sickness which the doctor could not diagnose. He was not able to walk, only sit and lie down for a few weeks. After visiting hospital after hospital with no treatment in sight, he sought the help of a witchdoctor. The treatment by the witch doctor was very painful. I went to see him, and he told me all these things. He asked me to pray to the God that I am praying to. When I was praying, he told me that he can feel heat in both legs. He was able to walk after the prayer. He accepted Jesus and he proudly testified to everyone that he came across about God's healing. Praise God!

DAS

DAS is a 54-year-old woman who is single.

Prayer Requests
Pray for:
1) The leaders of the two churches of N and UB, for God's wisdom and strength. That they will abide to the pastor's advice and the spiritual needs of the members. 
2) Restoration with the right doctrine for every church, that they will not fall to false doctrine taught by others. 
3) The congregation to experience maturity in their faith and experience God's goodness in their lives. 
4) The ministry at BEM NG and UB to grow well
5) The members who are alcoholic to stop drinking and using shamanism instead of seeking God.

I thank God that many alcoholics have stopped drinking after receiving Christ. After baptism, many after learning God's word, came to know that this is not acceptable to God. 

Many are interested in the ICM lessons which is mainly for cell groups. The lessons are simple and these people like it and understand what God wants from His children. All glory to God!

MTJH

MTJH is a 53-year-old man.

Prayer Requests
Pray for:
1) Evangelism in S to grow and spread like a wildfire for the Lord
2) Funds to build a church building
3) My mother-in-law to be blessed with good health
4) The head of the village in S will allow me to share the gospel in this area

There is a drunkard man who always disturbs the worship service. He always stands up and asks about God every time he comes to church. In order not to cause any problem to the service I will bring him away from the worship service and answer his questions. One day after the question-and-answer session, he accepted the Lord Jesus and now he is baptised. He no longer drinks and attends church regularly.
