REAP China Update October 2016 - March 2017

We are especially thankful and grateful for your partnership in the gospel for rural China all these years. We continue to sow and reap in China. 

The labours of REAP China evangelists saw:
Over 1.3 million gospel tracts distributed,
Over 61,900 conversions to Christ,
Over 16,700 baptised,
Over 500 new house churches planted, and
24,500 bibles given to new converts

Praise God that we can advance the gospel in rural China together.

Prayer Requests
Pray for:
1) Me to have the chance to further my studies and a larger field to serve God
2) Growth in the spiritual life of my husband and daughter
3) Salvation for my in-law's family
4) Revival for the church where I am currently serving
5) All my needs in my study and the lost around my area

There was a time when I was taking public transport. A mother with her son came onto the bus. The little boy was making a lot of noise and even pushed another passenger on the bus. The mother did not stop or reprimand him from doing it. One of the passengers kindly offered a seat to them but the mother took the seat without a word of thanks. In another corner a mother was discussing with her daughter on parenting. Without further ado I too joined the discussion, telling them that we Christians often say that as humans we are all sinners. I invited them to come to the church if they want to know more. The mother and daughter got off at the next station. I am so pleased with myself for being so brave in this discussion with strangers.

Prayer Requests
Pray for:
1) The salvation of my family
2) My husband to accept Christ with a sincere heart
3) My faithfulness in serving in the church
4) My daughter to have a child
5) Growth in my spiritual life

I was a recluse and introvert before I came to know the Lord. After accepting Christ, I developed to have a serving heart especially to people who did not know Christ. I not only do that to my own tribe but also to other tribes that come my way. At present I have about 7-8 people from the 'W' tribe who are willing to hear the gospel. Many others have flatly refused to hear the gospel. I never give up hope. I always have them in my heart and pray daily for them to open up their hearts. God will always make it happen.

Z is a 22 year old male who is single.

1) God to open more gospel doors in the 'M' tribe
2) Unity among the churches
3) The newly started children's ministry in my church
4) God to grant good health to my parents
5) The Chinese government, that they will not persecute house churches

Early this year we went to a rural 'M' tribe village to conduct a three-day Revival Conference. This is the first time we have had such a conference and we had about 50 attendees. The members benefited a lot and they are now more rooted in the word of God. There are many street kids here, that is why we do children's ministry here. We have had a good response from the children. Thanks God.

Prayer Requests
Pray for:
1) God to bring in people that are willing to serve him
2) God to lead brothers and sisters to accomplish the Great Commission
3) The church members to be active in every ministry of the church
4) God to bless and lead my newborn son to be a child of His
5) My three older children to grow in wisdom, excel in their studies and to fear God

Thank God, on the 9th March this year I gave birth to a son. It was a smooth delivery and I thank God for it. When I was pregnant with my son, I went through a lot of pressures and obstacles from the village and my family. Chinese always look down on you if you do not have a son and my three elder children were all girls. Me, being a Christian, do not care about this tradition of having a male child. I could not take the sneers and mocking words that were directed at me by the villagers and my family, so I prayed. Brothers and sisters in Christ, pray that God will bless my son. I thank God for answering my prayer. All glory to God!
