REAP Sarawak Evangelists Report for July - December 2018 

Shalom and greetings in the name of our mighty God and Saviour - Jesus Christ, risen King and Lord of Lords. 

Praise God for your payers and support. We continue to reap a rich harvest in Sarawak. The combined efforts of 105 REAP Sarawak evangelists saw:
- over 112,900 verbally given the gospel
- over 49,000 gospel tracts distributed 
- over 34,200 conversions to Christ
- over 14,600 baptisms
- over 4,200 bibles given to new believers, and
- 304 new rural churches planted

We give God all the glory! Thank you. Below are reports from your evangelists for prayers and thanksgiving.  

CJC 

CJC is a 61 year old man who is single.

Prayer Requests
Pray for:
1) Believers who share the gospel to those that have not heard 
2) The younger generation to have the heart to serve God in the various ministries that we have in the church
3) God to restore my health which is deteriorating
4) My purpose and goals in my evangelism work for God's glory
5) A great harvest for God's kingdom in these challenging times

Praise God! God has helped me to remain diligent, capable and wise to preach to those who have not heard the gospel news. With more having access to internet, reaching out to non-believers is not easy. A lot of them have too many faiths to choose from and they are being confused by the many versions/types they can Google. Pray that God will lead us to share the gospel to the ones that he has chosen to be His children.

DM is a male who is married with two children.

Prayer Requests
Pray for:
1) New "K" village camp - that the residents will be hungry for the word of God
2) "D" village where 80% are Muslims, pray that we will be able to share the gospel
3) The congregation, that they will grow and be strong in their faith
4) Land to build a church
5) God to grant me and my family strength and wisdom as we serve Him

God is great and merciful. A lady has been healed from mental stress after the death of her husband. 

JM 

JM is a 56 year old man who is married.

Prayer Requests
Pray for:
1) The adults and young people staying in the surrounding areas of AK. Most of them are drug addicts. Pray that they come to the Lord and be set free from these habits.
2) The discipleship class will grow the believers to be a good role model for God
3) The childcare centre will bring up the kids on the right path
4) Adults who are not able to understand the youth of today. They will learn how to be patient and persevere as they deal with them.
5) Me and my family, that we will serve the Lord willingly and wholeheartedly

Praise God! The communication class that we had for adults on how to communicate and attract young people and youth to our church has been showing good results. Nowadays the parents are more patient and able to give a listening hear to the young. We see a good rapport/fellowship between the old and young blooming well. This also will avoid the youth from being lured by the other faith. All glory to God!  

WMAS

WMAS is a 33 year old single man.

Prayer Requests
Pray for:
1) My ministry for the year 2019, that it will be fruitful
2) Good health for me and my family 
3) God to provide all the needs of my church
4) Those who have been evangelised, the Holy Spirit will soften their hearts for the gospel
5) Those who are involved in the discipleship ministry
6) The leaders to be more involved in evangelism work

Thank the Lord, my follow-up with those that we have shared the gospel with has been very good.  

TJK

TJK is a 68 year old male with four children.

Prayer Requests
Pray for:
1) Brothers J and E who have accepted the Lord. Pray that their faith in Christ will be strengthened
2) Healing for Mrs R who is suffering from cervical cancer
3) Brother M who has heard the gospel but has not accepted Christ into his heart
4) Me as I serve in KK church, pray for wisdom and strength
5) Strength, wisdom and boldness for me when I need to share the gospel to unfriendly people

Praise God! We are seeing God's presence especially in our Sunday worship. Many who have come in sick are healed. 

ML 

ML is a 333 year old female who is married with four children.

Pray for:
1) Good health for me and my family
2) The new believers will grow stronger in their faith
3) Wisdom and strength in my ministry
4) Financial need for petrol and car maintenance
5) God's provision, my heart longs to visit Israel in my lifetime

Praise the Lord! The village head who just accepted Christ has given up all his amulets to be burned.  

EA

EA is a 32 year old man who is single.

Prayer Requests
Pray for:
1) The new believers that they will grow and be firm in their faith
2) Strength and ability for the leaders who are serving in ministry
3) The discipleship lessons in our church to grow the congregation to be good disciples of Christ
4) Physical and financial needs of the church
5) Plans to build a chapel in our district

Most of the time before we go into an Iban area, we always ask God to put a hedge of protection over us evangelists. Most of these people dabble in black magic and shamanism. Now with education and most of them mixing with non Ibans, they have mellowed down and are more friendly. It is easier to share the gospel with them now. We have been able to save a few of them. Praise be to God!
