Rahab Ministries Newsletter August 2026

Welcome to the August 2026 Edition of the Rahab Newsletter.

We are grateful for new opportunities to reach women, women choosing to leave the bars, new believers, and growing partnerships that are helping us continue this work.

Recent Events

Mother's Day Outreach

sharing loveSowing Seeds of Hope: “I planted, Apollos watered, but God gave the growth.” — 1 Corinthians 3:6

For Thai Mother’s Day, we prepared around 300 jasmine flowers and snack packs and took them into Patpong and Soi Thaniya, alongside teams from Envision and Deeper Life Church. We spent time offering gifts, smiles and conversations, reminding women that they are seen and loved. We are especially grateful for the opportunity to keep showing up consistently, even when we do not immediately see the fruit.

At one establishment, we are still praying for open doors and softened hearts, as we have not yet been allowed to give anything to the women. We hope to return in December.

We pray that every small act of love would be a seed of hope, growing in God’s timing into deeper relationships, support and opportunities for women to encounter Jesus.

Loving the Word of God

you are loved“Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path.” — Psalm 119:105

During Mother’s Day week, we welcomed women to the Rahab office for an afternoon of worship, games, laughter and Scripture. Our theme this year is “Love the Word of God,” so we created cards with 15 Bible passages for the women to keep, read and be encouraged by. They also decorated their cards in a fun competition and received gift bags.

We are grateful to Pastor Peter and Pastor Pat for blessing the women with a beautiful cake that said, “You Are Loved”, and to Envision for their continued support.

Most importantly, four women decided to follow Jesus and expressed a desire to know more about Him. We pray that the Word planted in their hearts will continue to grow and that they would come to love, know and live by God’s Word.

Growing Together: Our Partnership with Envision

you are lovedWe also want to say a huge thank you to Envision for the way they have partnered with Rahab Ministries. Over the past year and more, Pastor David and Bethany have supported us both practically and financially, and we are genuinely seeing the tangible impact of that partnership.

Their support has helped us provide for outreach events and continue serving women in the red-light districts. We’re especially grateful for their support during our recent Mother’s Day outreach and gathering at the Rahab office.

Partnership like this reminds us that ministry is never something we are meant to do alone. We pray that our partnership with Envision will continue to grow stronger in the Lord and that, together, we will see even more women encounter hope, practical support and the love of Jesus.

Personal Stories

In God’s Timing - Nok’s Story

God's timing“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope.” — Jeremiah 29:11

One of the most encouraging things we’ve seen recently is the story of Nok. At 57, Nok had worked in the bars on and off for around five years and had known about Rahab for some time, regularly attending our outreach events where we share about the opportunities available to women who want to leave the bars.

After years of hearing this message, Nok recently decided she was ready to leave and asked to come and work with Rahab.

It has been a beautiful reminder that God’s timing is not always our timing. We may not immediately see the fruit of the seeds we sow, but God is faithful. Please pray that Nok would settle well into her new role, that God would provide for her, and that she would experience hope, dignity and a future filled with good things.

We’re so grateful that, after years of knowing about Rahab, the right opportunity came at the right time.
