Prayer News December 2022

Merry Christmas and a happy New Year from the Good News Team in Thailand. Thank you for your prayers for us in this Christmas season. There is much to be thankful for and many reasons we and Thai children continue to need your prayers.

Team

Win

God is faithfulGod is good and faithful. Thank you everyone who has thought of us and faithfully prayed for us. Our spiritual strength comes from your prayers. When we teach in the schools, the teachers often say the children sit so still and listen to every word (usually they are noisy!). We know that God is at work with his love, and we know it is because of your prayers.

We thank God that in these last few months we have at last been able to go to schools again. This is far beyond what we could imagine at the beginning of the year‐ God has surely opened the way for us. In the past two months we have been to 18 schools and 5 communities, reaching nearly 3,000 children. From now until Christmas ‐ 19 more schools and another 1,900 children. Our prayer for the coming year is that we will continue to see God do more than we can ask or imagine.

Jean

thankfulI thank God for being with us and helping us this past year. So many things were closed and there was no post office in many areas. and the number of children studying our lessons decreased. The good thing that came from this was that I was able to build deeper relationships with the children we could reach including those living in hostels.

Now that we can go to schools again, it is exciting to start receiving letters from new children who want to do our Bible lessons. I am praying we will be able to bring the love of God to more young people in more schools through our lessons. Please pray for God to work in the hearts of all these children.

Kanchana

thankfulI thank God that we’ve had the opportunity to go into schools again at last. I am also grateful for the brothers and sisters in our Nonthaburi church who have grown in God together through this hard time.

I thank God for those who have supported Bai to study at Bible School. This a big opportunity for Him in following God and learning to serve him.

For next year my burden is that we will be able to go to many more schools in areas where children have no other opportunity to hear about Jesus. May God strengthen and lead us in this. I also have a burden to encourage young people in the church to know and love God's Word and to learn to share their faith with children who don’t know about God’s love. Another burden is for the village in Saraburi where my mother is ‐ that there will be more people who believe in Jesus.

Nut

thankfulI want to thank God that I can be with the Team and serve Him and that He is still enabling me in this ministry. I thank God so much we can be back in schools in rural provinces to help children learn about Jesus. I do thank God for all He is doing in my life, especially for preaching in schools in the provinces. What I want to see next year and in the future is more organizations in Thailand working together to bring God's word to Thailand.

Please pray for me. I've been working with the Team for over 8 years now and am looking to God to keep leading me as I seek to serve Him and grow in Him.

Mew

thankfulThere are many things I want to thank God for from this past year‐ for His provision in all parts of my life, and for my family too. I thank God for His blessing and for the strength God has given me both inside and out. Please pray for me in all I'm doing in the Team that God will lead me and help me.

Also, now that we have our own Foundation, I am helping with some of the admin work. Please pray for this too. For next year, I would like to see our Team expand and be able to reach into many new areas. And for our Team to be known in many more areas so that others can do as we do by going into schools where children do not know Jesus.

Bai

thankfulI thank God He has cared for me like a Father through all this year. And for the opportunity to go to Bible School. I will seek always to do my best there as I know this opportunity is special for me. Thank you so much for your prayers for me and for our Team.

We thank God for our Retreat last week which gave us many good times together and helped us learn how to really listen to each other. God’s Word helped us learn how much God cares for each of us and our families, and how much He knows and understands what we are thinking and feeling.

Prayer and Praise Points

impacting lives1) For more people to join the Team who have a passion to bring Jesus to Thai children and who can help with making media content for our online outreaches.

2) For the young people in the church to grow in God's love and learn to serve Him with love.

3) For Kanchana's mother to grow in her faith, and for the evangelism trips to her village. Pray there will be more believers there.

4) Please pray for each Team member during our busy December program:

- For Mew and for her family. She asks prayer for her children (First and Mae) that God will keep them in good health and help them at school also.
