Prayer News June-July 2022

We do thank God that in the last two months, we have been able to start going out to do outreach programs in several areas. This has given us a lot of joy - that we can again bring the good news of Jesus to children in this way, and also to see the children’s happiness as they listened.

For the rest of this year, we are now planning times when we will have school outreaches. Please pray that God will lead us in this, and that God will make it possible for us to go to many schools, and especially in needy areas.

Recent Events

School Outreaches

In the last week of June, we have an opportunity to do school outreaches in southeast Bangkok. It is only for one day, but we will go to two or three schools! We are so thankful that we can begin school outreaches again. Please pray for us, and especially pray for each child who will hear of Jesus that day.

Another way to reach children in schools is our project to send packets of our evangelistic booklets to school libraries. Most schools are open again now, so we can restart this project. Thousands of children can be reached in this way. For most it’s their first time (and only opportunity) to learn about Jesus. 

News from Team Members

Kanchana: I thank God that this year I could do study again - learning more about how to preach and teach God’s word.

Pray I’ll have the courage to try new things too. My burden is to bring God’s love to needy children in unreached areas. Please pray I’ll always be faithful to God's calling. May He use me in supporting a new generation coming to serve God. Pray too for good health, and for healing for pain in the soles of my feet. Thank you.

Nut: Please keep praying for all our online evangelism as we use different methods. It is important to ask God to give me wisdom to think of new content. And also, it’s important that children have many ways to reach us - both on Facebook and YouTube pages and new methods too. And may God refuel me in my work as well. Thank you.

Miew: One main communication platform in Thailand is a program called LINE. Now we have an official LINE account for our Team, under the name of NongRak Club Foundation (Foundation of Beloved Children’s Club). The process of creating content and using this method of social media has been a challenge for us but we can see it will help us reach many more Thai children. Please pray for God’s wisdom that what we produce will be the best that is possible for this platform. Pray also for ongoing work in taking care of this official LINE account.

Bai: I really want to grow in God and know His Word so I am hoping to go to Bible school for a year (starting in August). Pray for me in this decision – that God will lead me, and that I will still find ways that I can help support my family. My prayer is that God will give me understanding of His Word and humility in being open to new things.

Jeen: Thank you for praying for me and for my work with children doing our lessons. I ask for prayer especially on July 4th-5th as I will be in hospital for surgery to remove cysts in my ovary. I have had this treatment before, but more cysts have grown. Please pray for God’s blessing for me in this surgery and that it all goes well with no complications.

Win: Please pray for me and for my family. May God take care of us and bless us physically, mentally, and spiritually. For me, because of this long time of Covid, I have been feeling often that I am in a great spiritual struggle. I am not ashamed to say that I have felt weak, and I know I need renewed strength from God every day. So, I am asking you, my brothers and sisters in Christ to please pray for me, and especially in my responsibility to lead our Team. I am praying for God to give me wisdom and His help that I may be able to lead us all to move forward into all that God has for us. 

Team Changes

We are sorry Manaow has had to leave our Team. She needed to go and help her mother in north Thailand. Please pray for God’s blessings for Manaow.

Now we are looking for someone who could replace her. Please pray God will lead us to a person with a heart that loves children, and a burden to reach them with God’s love.

New Cartoon Booklet

Please pray with us for this project. We have prepared many pages now and hope to have this booklet ready to print in August. Pray with us for God’s creativity and His inspiration for the pages we still need to do.

Our challenge always is knowing the booklets can potentially be read by up to a million children – many in their school libraries. Please pray for each child who reads one of these booklets. May God water that seed.

Personal Stories

From Chakriya, a boy of 12: Thank you all for sending me the booklet about Jesus, and now you send the lessons too. I really like to learn about God and about Jesus. And your lessons are fun too. Now there’s something I am going to start telling my friends. That is, “Did you know that God really loves each one of us?”.

A Thai Christian (nickname Ann) wrote asking to enrol her 12-year-old son in our Club so he can do our Bible lessons. Ann loves God and sees this is a good way for her son to know God also. She has invited other boys to join (from Buddhist families) and there are now four of them doing our lessons. Ann asks us to pray for her son, and for these other boys, and that their families will let her take them to church too.
