Update from Lorraine Dierck 

I had a lovely video call with Chuenjit. She looks happy and healthy and tells me she is now 67 years old but in good health apart from a recent diabetes diagnosis. She says she feels energetic and well and has no plans to retire! She sends warm greetings to the Bright Hope World team.

Activities

heart for youthChuenjit and her little team continue to visit two youth remand centres each month, where they do an evangelism and follow-up programme. Testimonies, Bible stories, prayer and games. 

Also, the Lord has opened the door at two more youth remands, one in Bangkok and another one in Nakhorn Pathom. They both have new governors who were formerly at the Pathumthani one, and so they know Chuenjit and have invited her to begin regular monthly visits. The youth at Nakhorn Pathom are very young, only 14 or 15 – about 30 of them there. How wonderful that they have the opportunity to hear about Jesus. 

Joshua has invited two young people who are due to be released but have nowhere to go (abandoned by their families) to begin working at the farm. This is a great discipling opportunity as they will have a safe place to stay, opportunity to join in Bible Study and Sunday worship, and will also earn some money on the farm.  

heart for youthChuenjit also continues to support several small churches by preaching and teaching every Sunday. She said she is doing a lot of one-on-one discipling also with young people who have believed in Jesus while they were incarcerated and have now been released.  

Personal

Her big personal news is that next month she will move from the farm to stay with her nephew in Chaengwattana Road; still in the same area. Life on the farm is getting a bit rugged, so this is a very good provision where she can be with family but continue in ministry.
