Anthony Ryan V Mijares

Dear Friends at Bright Hope World,

Good day! I am 21 years old and I am currently taking a Bachelor of Science in Information Technology at Cavite State University, Philippines. 

I have been a Christian for four years. I have 9 siblings and I am the fifth among ten. My father is the only source of income in our family. My older sisters have their own families. It has been hard for my family to meet our needs and wants since my father is the only one working. However the everyday needs are always meet by the grace of the Lord. My life is not a perfect one. I have experienced different trials and temptations but I have passed them and these are the building blocks of who I am today. 

My Christian journey all started at DVBS 2011. I was invited by my oldest sister to attend. At first, all I wanted was to know how to play guitar and meet other friends. However, all along I enjoyed the company of other youth, our teachers in the DVBS and my fellow students. At first, I am just participating in the afternoon youth fellowship, until they invited me to attend the Sunday service and preaching service. As weeks went by, I enjoyed attending every gathering in the church. They taught me the basic doctrines about Jesus and I accepted Him through prayer. I was baptised in June 2012 and in my four years of being a Christian, it's been a tough road. I struggle sometimes and feel depressed. But I always thank God that every time I experience those there will be a brother or a sister that helped me pray for it. Now I am a part of the music team as a guitarist. I am also a Sunday school teacher for the youth and part of the discipleship ministry. I have attended interchurch youth fellowship wherein I meet different Christian youth from different churches. I also attended a Men's Conference and Discipleship Camp in Bulacan to strengthen my knowledge about God and also my faith. It's been a happy journey for me as a Christian youth. I know there will be more struggles to come but I believe that God is always in control. 

My main dream is to finish my studies to help my family and to help my father for our needs. I want to have a stable job and to be a professional. By this I can also help the church in terms of manpower and expenses. Also, I can level up my self-confidence and much more inspire my younger siblings that they must finish their studies and do everything to reach their goals. 

Due to the financial instability of my family I was experiencing hardship for my school expenses. With this I thank you for your full understanding and kindness to help me with this matter. I am sincerely blessed by the ministry you are doing and thank you for your support and prayer.

Dear Bright Hope World,

I want to say thank you first for all the support that I have received every year. I would like to inform you about my study this year. I have taken my summer class unit for our major subject and before that in the last second semester I got an overall grade of 1.75. This year I learned a lot and I learned to study harder than before. Next year I am entering the 4th year and I need to be ready for the teaching process. I need to enhance my teaching and knowledge in professional teaching but I know that its not enough the knowledge that I have and I need to teach with the words of the Lord God to strengthen the knowledge that I have as well as the learning that I share with my students and guide them in the right way. I don't teach only to give them a learning but I want to teach them because I want to share and give them a guide from the Lord God for their lives too. 

The Lord God is always there for me to give me strength and wisdom to achieve my dream and goals. I am very lucky because of your support and love. I give to you a good result and thank you very much for the help and support that you give to me. Someday I will help others too and I will support them to achieve their dreams and goals.
