September Reports

Abel - Bujumbura, Burundi

During this month I was able to visit and develop ten house churches in the following places Bwiza, Ngagara and Carama. It was good mobilised and encouraged saints to continue to read the Bible daily, to meditate and discover the truth that will be applied in their live, and once a week they can come together and share with others what God is teaching them and pray for the Lost. In all these house churches both leaders and members are growing well.

During my visit I encouraged leaders and members to be involved in winning souls.

Leaders shared good testimonies on how many lives are transformed and families are being restored since they begin to read and share the Bible together and pray; and new people are making the decision to follow the Lord.

Nyanbugete: Bethany Holy Church

This month I went to develop Pastor Gervais who has shown interest in what we are doing in helping local churches to be involved in discipleship making and church planting. Gervais mobilised his team and I trained Step 1 seminar to 10 leaders, two among them came from Mwaro Province where Bethany has parishes. After the seminar we spent time practicing how to share that Bible in a small group by using the inductive method so that they can hear from God and share what He is teaching them and apply the truth in their lives. Since the beginning of this month members are enjoying reading the Bible every day and once a week they meet to share what God is teaching them. I pray that this church will open new doors for us and bring revival as Gervais have many branches across the country.

Kamenge: Bread of Life Church

Pastor Nestor is one of the pastors we have been working with for a long time. He stopped with CPM because many members left the church as they couldn’t meet again. It was good to encourage him to mobilise a new team of his close leaders so that we can start again developing them. This month I trained him with his seven key leaders on Being A Disciple. I suggested them to start first meeting as a team of leaders to share the Bible and pray for the Lost. I when they found that they are enjoying their fellowship, then I can train other members in his church on the Step 1 seminar.

Family News

My family is doing well, and all the children are healthy by the grace of God and they have returned to school.

I was able to visit 9 BRF (Bible Reading Fellowship) groups and all of them are developing well.

Kadutu: Pentecostal Church

I went to one of the Pentecostal parishes in the district of Chai where I presented our vision and I introduced Step 1 to 15 people including Pastor Watambila. After the teachings I saw all of them were excited to listen to the teachings and each one said that he will open his house for the BRF to start. They trust the Lord that they will multiply many house churches. I encourage them to start with three house churches and as they progress they can start other churches.

Garengaze Church

I visited and encouraged leaders in this church to always continue to be involved in the Great Commission by making disciples and planting more house churches. This church is making progress and members are keen in their DBR (daily Bible reading) and in this month they won seven people to the Lord and they have established 16 active BRF groups. I trained all the 16 leaders on Bible stories.

Panzi

MCAP I went to train Pastor Nathan and his team of 4 close leaders on Step 1 Being A Disciple who read the Bible daily and pray for the Lost. After the teachings they were happy to learn the method, we use to read the Bible daily. They agreed that they will start meeting in their family and invite their neighbours.

This month I went to develop Pastor John Bulambo with his leaders. They were 11 people and all of them reported that their house churches are developing well and all the members have passion to read the Bible daily and to meet once a week to share the Bible. The problem they are facing is the lack of Bible especially the new Christians. This church has planted more than 25 BRF and all are active.

Pastor Abole and his leaders have established nine house churches that continue to develop well as members read their Bible daily and meet every week to share the Bible and to pray for the Lost. Leaders testified that people are enjoying the time they share the Bible in the groups. It was good to encourage and develop them on Step 2 as well to share with them two Bible stories.
