training believersMy family members and I are fine in His enough grace. In the second week of January, I visited a person who is a believer in Christ and did follow-up with the new believers who accepted Christ in previous months. I made a plan for the training and seminar to give to the training centre's students in the third week of January. I gave a seminar early in February to 16 students in a training centre called Netriwobikash kendra.

I have been sharing the gospel to a neighbour family since last year. This family was ready to accept Christ in the second week of the January, so they did accept Christ on 19th of January. This couple and their three children did accept Christ Savior Lord Jesus Christ altogether in their room. Now this family is joining in fellowship so pray for them that they will grow in spiritual maturity.

I have goals for the new quarter to give seminars to the people who are belonging to Christ in the church where Dinesh Chand (another Sowers team member) is working and have also been requested to give a seminar at Pokhara area in May.

A Hindu orthodox group are targeting Christians, especially challenging those who give seminar training for evangelism in our country, so pray for us who do ministry in God's will. We have a need for funds for training materials and traveling expenses as well as accommodation costs when we do travel for the seminars.

Personal Stories

Evil Spirits

A couple suffered from evil spirits and the wife was sick for many years. Two months ago, we met. He was discouraged and worried for his family. His wife struggled with headaches and neck pain. She had met with doctors and counsellors and had spent a lot of money, but nothing worked.

I shared the Gospel with this couple and encouraged them to dedicate their lives to Christ. As they were desperate and without hope, they prayed and were saved. I then prayed for healing from the headache and neck pain and God graciously healed her. Now they are happy and have joined our fellowship and their family are now saved as well.

Muni

I encountered an orphan child, Muni. She is 9 years old and has lost her father. Her mother has remarried and lives with her new husband. She left her daughter with her father-in-law so Muni is living with her grandparent who is very old. I shared the gospel with them and counselled them too. She is now coming to Sunday school. Her situation seems helpless. She needs provision for her education and food. I am trying to take care of a small part of her schooling and food. She is keen and growing in faith and studying well. Please pray for her needs and education.

Ideas for the Future

I want to appoint some more workers to the team to help with training and working together. Someone has been emerging since 2022 but is still waiting.

Current Issues and Challenges

For successful plans to conduct seminars in churches. Often seminars are planned and then the church cancels or pulls out.

For the protection of Sowers as they evangelise as they minister in a hostile environment.

Prayer and Praise Points

family1) God is moving and using the team to be His witnesses. People are hearing the gospel and accepting Christ.
2) Pray for my family and for my children’s studies.
3) For God’s provision for Dinesh’s family, and especially his wife, Kamala, who is sick with stomach problems.
4) For wisdom, knowledge and a vital spiritual life for Dinesh and a fruitful and effective ministry in his area.
5) That God is moving in the nation. People are being reached through evangelism, disciples are being made, churches are being planted and God’s Kingdom is growing. Pray that this will increase.
6) For strengthening the team to share the gospel and for three young people who recently received Jesus Christ as their personal Saviour.
7) For the opportunity to lead a Bible study for the new converts.
8) For myself and Dinesh - our ministry and good health.

BHW Partnership Facilitator's Comments

This work in Nepal continues to be a key part of Sowers strategy globally. Despite the fact that we have tried and failed to find a way to help Navin be self-sustaining, I think it is worth continuing to support the work.
