Update from Kenya

new skillsGreetings from Francis and Jesse.

Here is our short report of what has been going on since the year began. We want to take this opportunity to say that God has been faithful to us so far. Since the year began, we have had opportunities to be called for trainings in different areas.

Recent Events

Trainings

The first training we had this year was in a place called Kapsokwony, on the slopes of Mt Elgon. This was made possible with help from a missionary working with remote communities in Kenya and Tanzania. This training was well attended. Later on, new skillsFrancis had a follow-up visit and actually most of the people who were trained implemented this way of farming. We are hoping to have another training there to help them understand the Foundations for Farming (FfF) principles much better.

The second training was in Machakos where we were blessed to have John Vlaming, BHW's Agricultural Director, sitting in. He also had two other friends from New Zealand who really blessed us. It was a good three days of training and was well attended by the local community, organized by a Dove church in the area.

John also blessed us with a nice fit in luggage projector which we are now using for our trainings, and it is proving very effective.

We have had a series of other trainings in parts of Kisii and we still have several others lined up for the next week and the months to come. In all these trainings we are seeing the move of God in which peoples’ eyes are being opened to understand the reality with the FfF teachings which are so powerful.

Land

The new land project is coming along so well. We are waiting for the Title deed and are getting ready also to put boots on the ground. A special thanks to John Vlaming for the role he has played to birth this. We are so grateful and will be sending a short update soon outlining our next moves.

Thanks also to the larger Bright Hope World team for your continued support.
