Report from Cristina Salas

Dear friends, I greet you in the blessed name of our Savior Christ Jesus. I share with you the things that have happened in these last months. 

Ministry

Activities

I thank God that he has allowed me to continue working, I share with you that I was in the Ashaninca Aoti Community, supporting the Romanian Missionaries, the Nagy family. I helped them by cleaning their house and being attentive to their children taking care of them.

I supported cooking for the elderly and widows of extreme poverty in the native community of Aoti, many of whom do not eat. They usually feed on cassava or some worms that they find in the bush, so God allowed me to help in the preparation of the food three times a week.

Some elderly people can no longer walk in the mud or when they feel sick, so we will deliver food house to house and make sure they eat. The children of the elderly do not take care of them and abandon them.

We continue to teach the Word of God chronologically. Presently we are in the lesson of the announcement of the angel to Mary in the New Testament about the birth of our Saviour, Jesus. After each term in Sunday school, we share food with the children as they often come without having breakfast. I have to be attentive to check if all the children have had their breakfast or not. I like everyone to eat and leave happy.

During this time it is sad to note that there is no one to go to those places, because there is a lack of workers and they cry out for someone to teach them the Word of God and we are unable to go to some places because we are few. We ask that God will touch Christians in the churches, as God says in his Word "The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few". Therefore, brothers and sisters, we ask for your prayers, that God can raise up workers.

School Campaign
The Lord multiplied the school supplies; we were able to go to four communities to distribute school kits. It is worth mentioning the kindness of an atheist woman who made the pencil cases for orphaned children. We teach the Word of God in each community where teachers and parents attend.

Segadores Office
When I am in Lima, I go to the Segadores office, ready to support the different activities that are carried out in them, including the maintenance of the premises.

Personal 

At the end of July, I had an accident going down the stairs of a building. I felt pain in my right knee and had an MRI, which resulted in a tear of the meniscus and subsequent build-up of fluid.

I thank the Lord Jesus Christ for using you to support me for the operation through the Segadores Association as a channel of blessing. The prayers of all the Christians in the faith who sustained and strengthened me during this time. Now I live with a niece who will generously be taking care of me until my complete recovery. Friends please continue to pray so that my knee can improve and I can be a blessing in that home.

Family

My younger sister who lives in the city of Cuzco suffered a heart attack. The doctors found blood clots in her heart, she was hospitalized for two days and later she was transferred to the city of Lima. I thank God that her operation went well and now she is in full recovery.

Prayer and Praise Points

1) Pray that God will raise up teachers for Sunday school, in the church of Aoti, because we have a shortage of them.

2) May God continue to work in the hearts of the adults and children who attend Aoti's church.

3) Friends, I ask for your prayers on behalf of my sister, who suffered a heart attack, where blood clots were found in her heart and for her recovery.

4) Please pray that God will raise up teachers for Sunday school, because we lack teachers to teach the children. May these teachers have the missionary call to go and live in the tribe.

As 2 Timothy 4:7,8 says. "I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. for the rest the crown of righteousness awaits me, which the Lord, the righteous judge, will bestow upon me in that day; and not only to me, but also to all who have lovingly looked for his coming."
