Update from Efrain January - March 2026Dear brothers and sisters,
We are grateful to have you with us in the ministry. We also began this new year in the city of Tarija, visiting our family and the brothers and sisters of the church where we grew up.
The first few days we enjoyed a family outing to one of Tarija's beautiful spots. We also celebrated another year of life that the Lord gave to Misiel, our eldest daughter.
These first few months I was very busy preparing messages because I preached at a reunion of alumni from the Bible Faculty. This reunion has been held for several years now, and a couple of years ago it opened its doors to other young men and women who wanted to attend, even if they weren't students. This year more than 120 people came. I had the opportunity to teach about the importance of being and having a mentor; the study itself was a great blessing in my life.
During our visit to Tarija, we also celebrated Janeth's birthday. We also took the opportunity to do some repairs on my father's vehicle with the help of Josías, my youngest son. We had a smooth trip back to Camiri, but a few kilometers before arriving, the vehicle's engine started acting up, which then became complicated with the gas system. I had to drive further down the road to a workshop that could fix it. Thankfully, it was repaired and is now back in good working order.
My daughters are now participating more actively in the youth group, and it is our prayer that they may feel part of the group and that it will help them in their spiritual growth and development, and that the Lord will show them areas where they can be useful.
In February, I was invited to participate in a meeting of the Gideons camp, which was celebrating another year of service in Camiri. They shared information about their outreach and their plans for the year.
In mid-February, I traveled to Villazón, about 560 km from Camiri, a 14-hour bus trip with a layover. Villazón is a city in southwestern Bolivia, bordering Argentina. I was invited to preach at a youth camp held in a beautiful valley in the community of San Pedro, where a wonderful group of young people, teenagers, and some older members gathered.
The topic they asked me to speak on was "Walking in Integrity," covering issues such as integrity with parents, at work, in friendships, and in dating relationships. I really enjoyed studying and communicating the Word of God, which is what we need in the different areas of our lives.
In March, the Camireña Christian School celebrated 70 years of ministry, and a small thanksgiving program was held. It was a blessing to hear the testimonies, the message, and the various authorities who brought gifts and awards to the school. It was a day to remember what God has done through this ministry.
In March, we also welcomed 15 students to the Bible Faculty, and this year there are more boys than girls. Two more female students will join later. On Tuesdays, we have a family night with 3
students who have joined our family.
In March, we also celebrated 16 years of marriage that the Lord has given us, and we give thanks for God's goodness and faithfulness throughout these years. Since March, I've been teaching automotive mechanics in a technical humanistic high school course at a public school. They're 10th-grade students, and there are quite a few of them. They have a large and beautiful workshop that was just inaugurated last year, but unfortunately, it lacks the necessary tools and equipment.
We've held some fundraising campaigns to get support from the community. I'm able to use some of the equipment from the technical school to teach the students. The bureaucracy involved in this type of work, the different reports, and the work procedures are all new to me, and I'm still getting used to it. I really enjoy teaching, and that makes this adjustment period more bearable.
This year, so far, the technical school hasn't opened, and there are many people interested in studying there. It's sad that we haven't been able to open it.
At the Church, we are supporting the coordination of Sunday School teachers this year, and I ask for your prayer support so that we can be a blessing to the brothers and sisters, the children, and help bring order to this ministry where there was a need.
Since last year, our family has had dental health needs. We found a doctor who does good work and a place where one of our daughters needs treatment. We ask for your prayer support so that the Lord will provide for these expenses.
Our family has grown in size, and since we live a little far from town, we felt some years ago, and even more so now, the need for a small vehicle that Janeth can drive, to travel with the children and in the development of the ministry.
1) For our family, for wisdom to guide our children through every stage they are going through, that each of us may keep our eyes on the Lord.
2) For our children's school years, that they may be a light among their classmates and have blessed friendships.
3) For the ministries we carry out in the Church and at the Bible College.
4) For the Technical School and now my work as a teacher, that it may be a tool to reach them for Christ.
5) For the church in Santa Rosa, for the strengthening of leadership and for the encouragement of the brothers and sisters.
6) For the dental treatment we need, especially for our eldest daughter, who needs surgery and orthodontic treatment, which is costly.
We appreciate you taking the time to read this report and especially to pray for us. We are grateful for your timely support, and we ask that the Lord bless the ministry you carry out.
In Christ
Efraín and Janeth
