Violence in Peru

On June 5th Peru’s police force clashed violently with tribal protesters who had taken control of towns and roads in Northern Peru in protest against the Government action of turning over to industrial companies large tracts of native lands without the consent of Aguaruna tribal leaders. The clash caused the death of 22 police and 30 natives, plus the wounding of many others. This violence has radicalized the protests of the Ashaninka tribe (in Central Peru) that has had the town of Atalaya paralyzed since April in protest against similar government actions with their lands.

Emmanuel Kumar has been given notice to vacate his house. He has until the middle of July if he is fortunate - maybe earlier if the landlord gets a sale.
He will find it very hard to find a suitable place as many landlords will not let to Christians, his requirements are for a large place to house all his ministries, and he has limited funds for renting. Please pray for this urgent need.
