Update from Armenia

Dear friends from Bright Hope World,
You have been partnering with us for well over 10 years and we come to thank you for your much needed support.

Recent Events

Activities

This year is our 26th year taking the gospel to the poor in Armenia and now to the 120,000 refugees from Nagorno Karapagh and the poor in Lebanon.

With the help of our sponsors, we have over 140 families in our care, some of whom have been with us for well over 18 years.

We support needy families with monthly financial help, and have 10 coworkers to carry the work:
- Supplying winter heat
- Counselling
- Run a bible study for the youth and adults
- 11 children's clubs across Armenia
- Food distribution for the refugees
- Container ministry, 40 foot container 26 is on its way
- Encouraging believers and missionaries to come and share the gospel
- Tertiary education, sponsoring teenagers to go to university
- Medical assistance
- Some micro business support to encourage them to work

Personal Stories

tough lifeThis is a family that we support who live in Gyumri, father, mother, grandmother and three children. They do not have any running water in the Shak and walk 500 meters to collect water. They have no gas. They do not pay rent but the government for safety is keen to pull the building down and they do not have a place to go.

The father just had an operation, and he should rest for 6 months. The wife is not healthy but is keen to work as a hairdresser although needs US$300 to buy her tools.

The Shak leaks whenever it snows or rains and this winter it was -20 below zero.

The boy is very smart. He is 15 and attends a medical school which we are supporting him with.
