Update from Manara International

Distributions
Much has been written and said recently about the plight of the people called refugees. For most, not much has changed for those living in a world of daily need. Below are the images of people thrilled at the gift of 10lbs of potatoes, 10lbs of onions and blankets.
Recently, 200 Iraqi and Syrian Christian refugee families were the happy recipients of these items, their smiles walking out the door with bags in hand tell their stories. Some of these brothers and sisters have just recently entered Jordan - and for many, this is the very first help they've received - thanks to Manara International and you.
Christmas for Children in Jordan
In Madaba, outside of Amman, you made possible this Christmas lunch and celebration for 100 Iraqi children. Delicious food, Christmas carols, and games cheered the hearts of these grateful children - who left with bags of treats and essentials.
Welcome to Joy! Manara hosted 300 Iraqi Christian children for Christmas at the Assyrian Church just outside of Amman, Jordan. We invite you to look into the beautiful faces of all these children as they enjoy a puppet show sharing the true meaning of Christmas and hearing "Jesus Loves You".
Afterwards, each boy and girl devoured a hot meal, and received gift bags including coloring books, hygiene supplies and sweets, along with blankets.
On behalf of these 300 children and their parents, Manara International says, "Thank you, partners".
Bibles for Children
In addition to hygiene materials and school supplies, with your help, Manara continues to provide special Children's Bibles to kids. "Train up a child in the way he should go; and even when he is old he will not depart from it." Proverbs 22:6
Winter Project 2017
It has been a harsh winter in Jordan with unusually chilly temperatures, wind and rain. Heaters and blankets are especially needed. These units also serve as a cooking surface and are doubly appreciated.
Thank you friends and partners of Manara International, with your support and help we were able to distribute 4,100 food packages, 209 kerosene heaters and 133 propane heaters with gas cylinders.
