Good News Team Prayer News March 2016

Thank you for your prayers! When I’m writing this, the Team is in Chaiyaphum on an outreach. They are working together with the local church sharing the Gospel with more than 1,000 pupils in the local schools this week. Jeen and I are at the office, continuing the updating of our Bible lessons. In February, our staff seminar “Strengthening the Next Generation” was very blessed, we felt God was speaking to us and healing us. This month Thai schools will have their end-term exams and then they close for the Summer holidays. We at the Team want to wish you a blessed Easter when we celebrate the risen Christ!

Blessings,
Saara

Pray For:

Outreaches

great opportunityPlease pray for the Team (NoiNoin, Kanchana, Corin, Tossapon and Nut) who are sharing the Gospel this week in the schools of Chaiyaphum province. Bring the children and teachers in schools in front of Jesus in prayer and ask that their hearts would be touched by the Good News.

Pray that many schools will open their doors to the Team and the Good News. Pray for local churches especially in Isan area, that they would have a strengthened vision for evangelism among children.

The Team

Our mission is: “To make disciples by winning young people to Christ and helping them to grow in their Christian faith within Thai churches.” Pray that each one of us in the team can keep the goal clear in our minds every day, amidst of challenges and difficulties as well as the good and victorious times.

Pray that the Team will have unity and growing love towards each other.

Pray for new team members. We are again in a situation where we need 1-2 new members, either part-time or full-time. Pray that God sends us people who share the Team’s vision and want to use their time and skills in children’s evangelism.

lots of letters

Children Studying the Bible Course

Pray for everyone studying our lessons. In the picture on the right: Jeen with letters from children. This pile came from a single school in Saraburi, where one (Buddhist) teacher wanted all her students to enroll on our Bible course!

Some young people face opposition at home or at school when they do our lessons and they do need your prayers to help them in these situations.

Fahsai Club

Pray for the children who live down the street. Pray for the Holy Spirit to draw them to Jesus again and again, and pray for Kanchana, Jeen and Noinon who live and minister there.

New Soundtracks

new musicIn April we will start recording new soundtracks for the puppet shows. Pray that the process goes smoothly, the technical aspects work well and of course that the end result will serve the purpose!

We hope that the updated soundtracks will make the puppet shows even more engaging to the audience and convey the message of God’s love in a creative and fun way.

Personal Stories

Letters from children and teens in February:

Kannika (girl, 7): I was thinking of taking my life by hanging myself. Now I thank God that I didn’t do that because now I know that He loves me.

Supannee (girl): Reading the Bible helps me have victory in my problems.

Sumongkhon (boy): When I was in the 6th grade I didn’t have money for the term fees. I prayed, and God answered, so I could continue studying!

keen to read

Sophitnapa (girl, 12): I feel so very happy and proud when I think of Jesus. I love Jesus more each day. Does he also love us a lot?

Wilawan (girl, 14): I feel happy and I think that the love God has given to us is so valuable and true. When I feel down, I ask God to be close to me.

Yosita (girl, 14): I’m a person who everybody looks down upon, so it has made a great difference to me to learn that I’m special to God. Now I know God will stay on my side. I have lots of problems with my friends and peers, we fight every day and I just feel I want to cry. Please pray that this would change and that I could have better relationships with others.

Sarancha (boy, 14): I have never read the Old Testament. Could you please send me a Bible that has both the Old and New Testaments? I would like to read it.

Prawit (boy, 12): I cannot really read that well. Please pray that I would learn to read!

Anchan (girl, 15): Please pray for me. My exam scores were low, and I’m fighting with my friends all the time. In my village, there’s a problem with evil spirits. I really hope my mum and dad would learn to know God and be free from the power of the evil spirits. Please give me some advice about how to lead my parents to the Lord. I also pray that my big brother would come back to God. In all these troubles, I look unto God for answers, because I know He can help me.

Warunee (girl, 13): I pray that my mum and dad would believe in God. I also pray that I would learn to sing and become a good student.

As you pray for the children whose letters are on this page, can you also pray for each child doing our lessons who is experiencing similar problems in a similar situation.
