REAP Sarawak, Malaysia Evangelists Report for January - June 2025

Shalom! Greetings in the precious name of our Lord, God, and Saviour Jesus Christ. I trust you are being kept encouraged by the grace and goodness of God.

We give thanks for the gospel advance in Sarawak. Thank you for your faithful support and prayers for gospel outreach in rural Sarawak.

The work of 35 REAP Sarawak evangelists saw:
Over 237,699 evangelised verbally,
Over 52,976 gospel tracts given,
Over 54,399 conversions to Christ,
Over 21,630 baptised,
4,400 bibles given.

We give the glory to God and thank you for your faithful sowing and prayers in gospel partnership. (Phil. 1: 3 – 5, 2 Cor. 9: 6)

DM 

DM is a 46-year-old male who is married with three children.

Prayer Requests
Pray for:
1) Thanksgiving because the Lord Jesus always blesses my ministry according to God's will. 
2) The Malay M's in 'D' because we believe that the Lord Jesus also loves them and that they will be saved. I have to be careful to share the gospel. Am praying that God will open doors for me to reach out to them. 
3) The IBAN people in 'D' because they are still very attached to old traditions and customs that make their faith waver, and some do not grow in faith. Their trust in their old faith is a real hindrance to come to Christ. Please pray that God will remove that veil from their eyes and heart. 
4) A breakthrough and spiritual revival to occur in the 'D' area
5) God's guidance in this ministry

I want to testify about a boy named Jerry who said he was being haunted by a little boy's ghost. They tied him up so he would not run around here and disturb little children. At about 1pm they called us to pray for Jerry. After preparing ourselves with the word of God and praying with my wife, we set off for this longhouse. We believe God is with us. After we arrived, we felt the hairs on our necks stand up and the house felt cold and scary. After entering the house, Jerry was very scared and anxious, but after a few minutes he began to calm down and said, "they have left". My wife and I also felt comfortable, and their house began to feel warm.

We started asking Jerry. He looked around the room and started to speak. He said, "there were two little black children threatening me and poking me with their long nails." After listening to Jerry's story carefully, we started to pray for him. We told him to accept the Lord Jesus as his Lord and Saviour. At first Jerry could not say the name of the Lord Jesus. I did what the Holy Spirit said, take oil and anoint the child. My wife continued to teach Jerry until he could say the name of the Lord Jesus. Praise God. Jerry was released from fear. After a week we visited this family again and asked Jerry's news. He has been released. Praise God!

 

CJ

CJ is a 30-year-old married man.

Prayer Requests
Pray for:
1) The faith of the church to grow and be a blessing to the members
2) My wife who will be giving birth in August for a smooth delivery. Mother and child to be in good health. 
3) The election of the church council will be held in July 2025. Pray that only good and committed ones will be chosen. 
4) The KKR zone to be held in August 2025. Pray everything will move smoothly. 
5) All churches and groups in Sarawak to experience a spiritual revival. 

All praises to God for his blessings and love in this ministry. We thank God for the strength and wisdom and His guidance in the church overcoming trials and challenges. Thank you for your wonderful support which really helps towards our transportation costs. God bless. 

  

DAS

DAS is a 54-year-old woman who is single.

Prayer Requests
Pray for:
1) The two leaders in the churches in N and UB will have God's wisdom and strength to work together with the pastor who is in charge of caring for people with spiritual needs.
2) The Holy Spirit will work mightily in the church for God's glory. Many non-believers will seek God in this church. 
3) The congregation to be renewed in their faith and strengthened by the power of the Holy Spirit. They will be good witnesses for God's glory. 
4) The ministry in BEM NB and UB to continue to rise and be able to move together to achieve God's vision and mission. 
5) The congregation to truly experience an intimate relationship with God and be freed from all their attachments and addictions. 

Praise God, I can see the movement of God who uses my life as His servant, God gave me the anointing to serve the ISCF Camp in May 2025. Many new souls were involved in listening to discipleship lessons through ICM lessons, some who have never joined have begun to join. 

The congregation gradually learn from basic lessons about Christianity to deeper lessons about the Christian faith. God's love again strengthens, refreshes and rebuilds what is lost, what is tired and even what is starting to get boring is refreshed by the power of the Spirit of God. 

God will reward you abundantly for your work for the gospel in Sarawak. 

 

MTJH

MTJH is a 54-year-old married man.

Prayer Requests
Pray for:
1) The ministry in S, S and P areas. The evangelistic area is also vast. Pray for wisdom in this ministry. 
2) Our health and wanting to have a child. 
3) The restoration of the pastor's house and church.
4) The election of the church council in September, only good and committed members to be selected. 
5) The area where we stay because many are idol worshippers. May their hearts be softened to hear the gospel and accept the Lord Jesus. 

Thanks to God for answering my prayers regarding my ministry in this area. There is a surau and two longhouses that have embraced Islam for a long time. Because of our prayers, there is a family there that have decided to accept Christ. Praise God, the new believers got baptised on 8th June 2025 and there was no intervention by the M groups. Praise be to God!
