Update from Efrain

Dear brothers, I appreciate your interest and the support you have shown toward the Technical School since its early days, when it was being consolidated. The Technical School opened its doors to the public in 2014, with a two-year program specializing in Automotive Mechanics, certified by a private institute. The same institute was closing some specialties for its own reasons after three years. For this reason, as the person in charge of the Technical School, I sought other legal support for certification. The Lord opened the doors with a state institute, but it only offered certification for two semesters, that is, one year of classes. Therefore, I changed the program and specialty offered, adapting it to the context of Camiri, in the Chaco region. The new specialty was called "Engine Technician", and we were able to incorporate the teaching of motorcycle engines and chainsaws.

Since 2018, we have implemented this program with positive student feedback, which has allowed us to gain a good reputation thanks to our graduates; and enrolment numbers have increased.

In 2020, the pandemic hit, preventing us from continuing that year. We restarted in 2021, once again receiving a good response despite the economic downturn.

Recent Events

Activities

At the end of 2023, I submitted a request to the Association that manages the property where the Technical School operates to continue in 2024. This Association had, for some time, complicated the operation of some ministries, including the Technical School. I therefore submitted this request, as I did in 2022. This time, the Association did not process enrolment which was supposed to begin at the end of 2023. I waited until February 2024, and received no response, so I had to announce that it would not open that year.

By April 2024, the Director of the Institute that certified the school was changed.

Last year, I met with the person who held the position, but unfortunately, he didn't agree to continue certifying the school. He gave me hope of doing so in early 2025, but when the date arrived, he said he couldn't do it yet.

Currently, I'm looking for a local institute that could support the Technical School. There was one opportunity that closed a couple of months ago, so I'm currently looking for another.

Prayer and Praise Points

1) May the Lord, in His will, open some door that will make the certification of the Technical School possible.
2) If the School reopens, it will be necessary to update some of the equipment for the specialty.
3) That the management of the property where the Technical School operates allows for normal and harmonious development.
4) For my health, which has suffered somewhat in recent years.
