Update from Mark Mattix

learning new skillsTomorrow is the beginning of classes for the Technical School right here across the patio from our house at the entrance to the farm/camp.

Last week there was an official inauguration with the presence of local authorities: mayor, chief of police, commander of the army, a representative from the governor’s office, educational authorities, etc. plus other guests, about 45 in all. We had a morning program followed by meat turnovers (salteñas) and Coke.

new studentsOnly eight students are properly registered but we trust more will show up in the first days of class. This is a new venture but something we have dreamed about for years. We trust this will be a venue for establishing friendship and doing effective come-alongside-evangelism.

The Bible school starts on 10th March and the Technical school will offer our students a natural connection and in-their-face mission field.

The Technical school will start with a one-year course on auto mechanics, technical level, and progress to superior level and later specialized courses will be offered.
