Report from Samuel Thang

I received a loan of 530,000 kyats (US$540) and used this to help two families with the aim of winning their souls, and also to progress our small preschool in their community.

The preschool is now progressing and we have 25 children, plus 18 older children for 2 hours of classes each day. Our boys from the Orphanage teach each day for 2 hours to those 18 children who are not able to go to school. We are privileged to share the gospel to the community through this project.

Two families

income generatorU Tin Shwe family: Tin Shwe has four of his children and five grandchildren living together at their house.  They cannot afford to send all the children to school due to poverty and shame.  Tin Shwe is a fisherman in an effort to feed his whole family. When I offered to pass on to him a loan to raise a mature pig for his family he was very happy. Their pig has now been pregnant for two months.

The family is now very open for us to tell them the gospel, and it is also very helpful for reaching their neighbours with the gospel. It is also every beneficial to run our Christian preschool in their Buddhist community. We are confident that the loan will help this family and enable them to send their children to school.

income generatorU Lin Lin family: Lin Lin has three children and he is one of the village heads who can influence the community.  U Lin lin is also very glad with the loan I passed on to their family to raise a mature pig for piglets. Their pig has been pregnant for 3 months and will deliver in a few weeks now.

He is also so helpful to our Christian preschool as a leader of the community.
