Update from East Congo

Abel

Abel continues his weekly church visits in and out from Bukavu. He is excited to introduce to the churches steps or stages for their people to become disciples; the church prayerfully finding and accepting a local mission vision and responsibility and then their appointing from amongst them house church planting missionaries. He visits about 10 areas in his work – some areas not very safe.

Alimasi and Pascal

Alimasi and Pascal are in Uvira and Fizi, beside Lake Tanganyika. Both are men of faith whom God has used in re-activating churches and reaching new areas. Sacrifice and dedication is required. Alimasi reports two new churches born this month and new disciples baptised. Because of this fruitfulness, the Evil One opposes. Pascal’s wife ran away from him and the children to an already married headmaster six months ago. This has been a heavy burden to bear. He has the children to look after and is not able to visit faraway places including the mountain churches. His family doesn’t understand that he is willing to forgive his wife!
