Update from the Mulengas

Family

Shula continues working among the orphans and vulnerable girls. Mumba will be finishing his four year course in December. Katongo has finished college and will start work in June, God willing. Twatasha is at the Africa School of Mission waiting to go to the School of Nursing in 2011. Patrick and Grace would like to rest, they have never been on furlough for the past 16 years. Please we need your prayers, we would like to visit a number of assemblies if God is willing.

Church

We are a body of Christ with a diversity of age groups.  We are encouraging each age group to reach out to their own group for Christ and be involved in building up the body of Christ. Growth in the Word and in loving the Lord is what we seek every day. We have formed eight classes; each class with its own respective age group and 30 minutes of Bible study is required before the family meeting every Sunday. We give opportunity to eight teachers to encourage their respective age group by sharing what the Lord is doing in various classes to the congregation; this has been a good beginning of fellowship (KOINONIA).

Meanwhile, the young people are raising funds for sports equipment and for the youth camp in July 2010.

A team of ten believers has been formed for marking, distribution, and follow-up of Emmaus Bible Correspondence students.

It is not always smooth

When things seems to be running well and Christians begin to appreciate each other then the disgruntled religious young man tries to divide the Assembly and disrupt the Emmaus Bible Correspondence course from going into prisons. We thank God that all the attempts and the plans the young man has been trying to do have failed.  The Lord gave us wisdom in handling the young people that they should not support him.

Prayer points

1) A conference will be held in Dowa Tete towards the end of May - we have a good number of Assemblies North of Mozambique. A big number of believers will be gathering for five days for Bible teaching. Dowa is 1,700 kilometres from Maputo.  Please pray that the Lord may meet the cost of fuel to get to the meeting and back.

2) We are trusting the Lord that Patrick driver's license will be ready soon

Yours in Christ,
Patrick & Grace Mulenga.
