Family News

My family is doing well, and the children are doing good in school, although our son was hospitalised with malaria which we are thankful he has now recovered.

Bujumbura, Burundi

encouraging each otherThese two months the Lord enabled me to visit and encourage leaders in 15 house churches in the following places: Bwiza, Kamenge, Mutakura, Kinama and Cibitoki. In all these areas the churches are active, and members continue to meet every week to share what God is teaching them and to pray for the Lost. I was very excited that almost every church I visited leaders shared their stories on how members have become keen for the Lord and many lives have been transformed through the DBR.

I had seminars in these places:
Gasekebuye: Pentecostal Church: This month I developed a contact with Pastor Faustin, and it was good to visit his church and share the vision of church planting movement to the pastor and his team of 7 close leaders.

They were excited to discover that their responsibility in making disciples as they obey the Great Commission. Together they practiced the Bible reading by using the BRC. They were happy to discover the 3 questions that help them to do the inductive Bible study method so that they can hear from God. (What does it mean, what does it mean, what must I do).

After our training they agreed to start meeting once a week. Pastor Faustin mobilised leaders to start the BRF in their homes.

Nyakabiga: At the Rhema Word Bible Church I trained Pastor Edward with 9 leaders on Step 1. This is a new church where I went to train leaders, and they were happy to learn how to read the Bible daily using the BRC and to pray one for another, and once a week they meet in a house to share the Bible.

After the seminar they decided to start 6 house churches or small groups. I advised them to invite new people to the house church and each time when they see that there are more than 12 people in a house, it is better to multiply so that the church can grow rapidly.

useful toolBwiza Impact Word Church: This church is making good progress. Seven house churches are more active. Members have a passion to meet every week. To continue developing members the church has a discipleship class where they are trained. This month I mentored leaders on church planting multiplication.

I also had a wonderful moment sharing, encouraging and planning for this year with much more focus on Evangelism and Multiplication with pastors from the following local churches:
- Assemblies of God, Gasekebuye : Pastor Alfred Nduwimana
- Pentecostal Church, Kamenge : Evangelist Emile
- United Methodist Church, Cibitoki : Pastor Bismark
- Living Word Church, Kamenge : Pastor Frank
- Nazareth Church, Kinama : Pastor Leonard

Praise

- I give all the praise to our God for protecting us throughout the year 2025 and to start this new year despite of hard and difficult times we face due to insecurity.

Family News: My family is doing well by the grace of the Lord

Bukavu

During these two months I was able to visit 15 house churches and encourage leaders in Bagira, Kadutu, Nyawera, Labotte and Nguba. The BRF groups are developing well as members are meeting every week to share the Bible and to pray for the Lost, friends and family members who do not know the Lord.

Nyawera: Military Chaplain: For two days we met in the house of Pastor Pierre Ntumwa who is a military together with 11 leaders to whom I taught the Step 2 seminar. This was also a time to encourage the soldiers who were wounded in the battlefield. During our visit we encouraged them for what they are doing for the country and shared the Gospel on the love of God. At the end all of them decided to give their lives to Christ and they were baptised at the Chaplain Military church. I have been ministering to the military for many years.

AOG (Sinai Temple): I went to encourage leaders in this church. We were eight people, and after the meeting they all witnessed how the teachings of CPM have impacted their church and the lives of their members. They testified that members are living in unity and that they have become keen for the Lord. Pastor David reported that there is much progress as some house churches are about to multiply.

Pentecostal Church (Bethany Parish): This month for two days I encouraged and trained Pastor Edmond Mwatumabiri and his team of 10 leaders on Step 1 seminar so that they can start reading the Bible and coming together every week to pray and discuss in a house.

Muhungu: Manmin Church: I had time with Pastor Misiri Bulambo with his leaders. It was good to train nine people including the pastor on Step 1. After the training all the leaders decided to open their homes in order to start house churches. They promised by saying that they will be committed to plant house churches that will multiply in their respective areas so that they can reach more people.

Prayer Requests

1) Pray for the growth of the work as we train leaders in many churches.
2) Pray that God will continue to provide for all the needs of the missionaries.
3) Pray for the provision of Swahili Bible an BRC.

Praise Report

- I praise God for allowing visiting and encouraging leaders this month as we start 2026.
- I praise the Lord for His protection and health over us.

Family News

My family is going well by the grace of God although my wife was suffering from Typhoid but now she is fine. Our children continue to grow well by the grace of God. My first son Dieudonné is in Bujumbura where he is studying at the University.

Fizi

I bless the Lord who helped me to visit and encourage leaders and members in five BRF groups in Mboko working with the Methodist and Gareganze churches. Leaders and members in the house churches continue to read their Bible daily and pray for the unsaved friends, family members and neighbours and they meet once a week.

Mboko, Free Methodist: This month I visited and followed up 10 leaders. These leaders are keen for the Lord, and they are doing well in discipling members and facilitating the Bible discussion. I revised Step 1 and 2 and encouraged them to win new souls. I also visited two house churches, and I found that the Bible discussion is helping many to know the truth.

Gareganze: I visited three house churches planted by this church and all of them are developing well and I found that in one house church there are more than 20 people. I advised the leader to think about dividing that group. I encouraged leaders in these BRF to continue to reach out through Evangelism by revising how to practice the Bible story telling.

Prayer requests

1) Pray for wisdom and insight as we develop pastors and church leaders in Fizi.
2) Pray that God will give me strength and vision in the work.
3) Pray for peace in our country especially in our area where there always rebels.
