Appreciation to Bright Hope World from Fountain of Hope

In a land where the sun scorches and the rains seldom fall, hope can feel like a distant dream. Yet, in the heart of Zimbabwe’s Region 5—where drought and hunger are constant companions—hope has found a home. On behalf of Fountain of Hope, we extend our heartfelt appreciation to Bright Hope World for being a beacon of light in these dry places. Your unwavering support has not only sustained lives but has ignited dreams, restored dignity, and reminded entire communities that they are not forgotten.

Fountain of Hope operates across four provinces of Zimbabwe, all situated in the most drought-prone region of the country. Year after year, families face the harsh reality of hunger and starvation. But through your partnership, Bright Hope World has helped us turn despair into possibility.

• Food Security Restored: Community gardens now flourish across the arid landscape, bringing green life to dusty soils and smiles to hungry faces.

• Livelihoods Transformed: Livestock distributed in Matabeleland are more than animals—they are engines of hope, providing food, income, and a renewed sense of purpose.

• Children Empowered: Orphans and vulnerable children at the Peniel Centre are receiving psycho-social support, shelter, and educational opportunities. This safe haven has become a place of healing and growth, where young lives are nurtured and given the chance to dream again.

• Youth Mobilized: Young people are finding pathways out of unemployment through skills training and income-generating projects, becoming leaders of change in their communities.

Your support has been the difference between despair and determination, between survival and thriving. It has allowed us to dream bigger: to envision communities where hunger is replaced by harvest, where poverty is replaced by productivity, and where hopelessness is replaced by faith in a better future.

As we celebrate this Christmas season, we pause to honor Bright Hope World for walking alongside us in this journey of transformation. You have brought joy to weary hearts, strength to struggling families, and hope to entire communities. From the gardens that bloom in the dry land to the children at Peniel Centre who now dare to dream, your impact is written across lives and landscapes.

With deep gratitude, Fountain of Hope wishes you a Merry Christmas and a prosperous 2026. May the same hope you have sown in Zimbabwe return to you in abundance, filling your year with fruitfulness, joy, and peace.

Peniel Centre

hope for the futureIn the midst of Zimbabwe’s Region 5, where hardship often overshadows hope, the Peniel Centre stands as a sanctuary of love and transformation. This home for abandoned, abused, homeless, and vulnerable children is more than a shelter—it is a family, a place where broken stories are rewritten into testimonies of healing and triumph. Through the faithful support of Bright Hope World, Peniel Centre has become a beacon of hope, proving that even in the hardest places, God’s light can shine brightly.

Throughout 2025, Peniel Centre has cared for 28 children, each one embraced with dignity and compassion by a dedicated team of five staff members. These children, once marked by loss and despair, now experience the warmth of belonging and the promise of a future.

• Education as Transformation: Three young people, once orphans with little chance of schooling, are now at university studying Engineering, Computer Science, and Community Development. Their journey from vulnerability to the highest centres of learning in the nation is nothing short of miraculous—and it is your support that made this possible.

• Skills for Life: Others are thriving at technical colleges, learning trades and professions that will empower them to stand on their own feet.

• Growing Dreams: Many are excelling in high school and primary school; their eyes filled with excitement for the brighter future that education promises.

Beyond academics, Peniel Centre has become a place of healing and transformation. Testimonies abound of children who have found joy after trauma, confidence after rejection, and hope after despair. Each smile, each achievement, each step forward is a living testimony to the power of love and partnership.

As we reflect on 2025, we cannot help but marvel at the impact Bright Hope World has had on Peniel Centre. Without your support, these stories of triumph would not exist. You have given abandoned children a home, a family, and a future. You have turned tears into laughter and despair into determination.

On behalf of Fountain of Hope, and with hearts overflowing with gratitude, we say: thank you, Bright Hope World. May this Christmas season bring you joy as abundant as the joy you have sown in Zimbabwe. And may 2025 be prosperous, fruitful, and filled with the same hope you have given to the children of Peniel Centre.

Skills Training

new skillsIn Zimbabwe’s Region 5, where drought and poverty often rob young people of opportunity, many out-of-school youth find themselves trapped in cycles of hopelessness—drug abuse, teenage pregnancies, and unemployment. Fountain of Hope believes that every young person deserves a second chance, a chance to discover their potential and build a future filled with dignity and purpose. That is why we run Skills Training programs: to rescue young lives from despair and equip them with tools to thrive. In 2025, thanks to the faithful support of Bright Hope World and in partnership with the Ministry of Youth Development, this vision became reality for 17 young people.

This year, 17 young people from difficult, hard places were trained in practical, life-changing courses:

• Motor Mechanics (6 students) – learning to repair and maintain vehicles, opening doors to employment and entrepreneurship.

•  Building (3 students) – gaining skills to construct homes and infrastructure, becoming builders of both communities and futures.

•  Plumbing (3 students) – mastering essential skills that bring clean water and sanitation, vital for healthier communities.

•  Agriculture (2 students) – learning to cultivate the land, ensuring food security and sustainable livelihoods.

•  Hotel & Catering Management (3 students) – preparing for careers in hospitality, where service and excellence create opportunities.

These young people, once vulnerable to destructive paths, were given a lifeline. The training became a rescue vice, pulling them out of the jaws of unemployment, drug abuse, and hopelessness. For the first time, they sat for government-recognised exams, a milestone that validates their hard work and opens doors to formal employment. Their results will be released next year, but already their lives are transformed: they now see the future through the eyes of hope.

Without Bright Hope World, these stories would not exist. You have given young people a second chance—an opportunity to rise above brokenness and step into purpose. You have rescued them from the “mouth of the lion” and placed them on paths of dignity, productivity, and hope.

On behalf of Fountain of Hope, we say thank you for believing in these young people and investing in their future. As a team, we wish you a Merry Christmas and a prosperous New Year 2026. May the joy you have sown in Zimbabwe return to you in abundance, and may you continue to see the fruit of your generosity in transformed lives and thriving communities.
