Fountain of Hope Foundation extends profound gratitude to Bright Hope World for the unwavering support extended to Peniel Centre, a refuge of love, healing, and restoration for children who were once abandoned, orphaned, or left vulnerable—many due to the ravages of HIV/AIDS.
Your partnership is more than financial; it is deeply personal. It is reviving shattered dreams, rebuilding lives, and restoring dignity to those who had lost everything.
Peniel Centre is home to 29 orphans and vulnerable children who have found a safe and nurturing environment to grow, heal, and pursue their futures.
Transformational Impact:
• The children receive daily meals, clean water, and all essential utilities.
• With your support, we are able to keep the centre running smoothly, meeting both practical and emotional needs.
Education Achievements:
• 3 children are currently enrolled at university level
• 8 children are attending colleges, learning valuable skills for future employment
• The remaining children are in primary and secondary school, receiving consistent education and care
This is a powerful testament to what consistent support, stability, and love can achieve. Young lives that were once filled with despair now carry bold dreams, academic progress, and hope for leadership and service in the future.
Zimbabwe’s youth unemployment rate stands at a staggering 58.7%, with the majority of affected young people residing in rural communities. Without meaningful opportunities, many turn to drug abuse, crime, and a life of despair—placing entire families and communities at risk. Fountain of Hope Foundation launched the Skills Training for Youth initiative to provide a lifeline. By equipping young people with marketable skills and spiritual guidance, this program helps them forge a path toward self-reliance, restored dignity, and community leadership.
Over the past 4 years, Fountain of Hope has steadily expanded its training programs:
• Initially launched with carpentry only
• Now includes a wide variety of disciplines, thanks to partnerships with government departments
In early 2025, 9 young people graduated with certificates in:
• Hotel & Catering Management
• Building
• Beauty Therapy
• Agriculture
2025 Skills Training Cohorts
The second-year trainees (13 Students) are preparing for government exams in November 2025. There are 4 doing motor mechanics, 4 doing building, 2 doing plumbing and 3 doing agriculture.
There are 8 first-year trainees: Hotel & catering x 4, motor mechanics x 2, plumbing x 1, agriculture x 1.
These young people are not just learning trades—they are stepping into a future filled with purpose.
Our deepest desire is for each child at Peniel Centre to:
• Attain a full education or meaningful vocational training
• Discover their God-given potential and calling
• Step into a life of impact beyond Peniel, becoming agents of change in their communities
These children are not just survivors—they are future leaders, teachers, builders, and caregivers whose journey began with your compassion.
Given the complex and often traumatic backgrounds of many children, psychosocial support is essential. We are prayerfully seeking a committed counsellor or counsellor partner to help:
• Address emotional wounds
• Guide healing conversations
• Build resilience and hope
This would be a crucial step in supporting their full transformation, from survival to thriving.
To ensure continued success and sustainability, we propose the following:
1) Tool Kit Provision
Equip graduating trainees with basic start-up toolkits to help launch their careers in building, plumbing, motor mechanics, agriculture and hospitality services
2) Bible School Integration
Run a Bible School alongside vocational training to:
• Nurture spiritual growth
• Reinforce values like discipline, purpose, and service
• Provide counselling and emotional support to those coming from difficult backgrounds
We simply couldn’t do this without you. Your support is nurturing the hearts, minds, and spirits of these incredible young people. You’ve turned hopelessness into promise—and for that, we are eternally grateful. Thank you, Bright Hope World, for helping us make Peniel Centre a true sanctuary of restoration and possibility.
Thank you for helping restore purpose to a generation. The ripple effect of your support is felt not only in the lives of our trainees but in entire communities. These young men and women are rising from poverty, equipped with skill and hope, and becoming pillars of possibility.
Blessings,
Gideon & Jennifer
