Jtough timesuly 2021 Update

Greetings in the Lord’s name,

“Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall trouble or distress or persecution or famine or nakedness or danger or sword”?

Recent Events

Activities

COVID-19 cases are on the increase in Mozambique. At present we are under quarantine because one of the orphans under our care has tested positive for COVID-19.

Every day we see more signs of destitution and hardship around us. One would wonder if the progress we have been witnessing over the past 19 years will ever continue.

We continue to hold church meetings in all our church Assemblies in the country. Observing the wearing of masks and distancing in sitting. Mobile discipleship, specifically the Emmaus courses in prison, has been slow; please pray with us that we may pick up the rhythm even in our hardship.

Insurgency is happening in the province where we are expanding the Lord Jesus’ territory. The people who have been blinded by the father of all liars, attack the communities, killing people, dismembering their bodies in the name of their father, the devil. People have become refugees within their own country. Homes and churches are being burnt down. The battle for the area highlights the humanitarian crisis in this part of God’s vineyard.

Personal Stories

This is a testimony from one of the believers in the area mentioned above:

"We climbed on the roof. Thank God the roof was strong. We closed the old door which led to the roof behind us. Within seconds of jumping onto the roof we heard the front door crushing down. I was so scared, and I could not breathe. I heard the rebels calling out for anyone who might be in the house to surrender. I remained silent. We could hear the rebels ransacking the house, looting anything and everything.

These are demonic people; they are barbaric and lunatics with guns. They showed no discipline but a love for blood.’’

Prayer and Praise Points

1) Pray with us that Palmira's infection may be cleared and that the rest of us in the house are not infected.
2) Pray with us that the gospel of our Lord Jesus may prevail above the hardship.
3) Pray with us that the full program of mobile discipleship, children's ministry, and Emmaus courses will be in full swing.

Comments

We are thankful to the believers who never cease to pray. Thank you for your prayers and support, we shall rise above the storm as long as we are in Jesus’ team.

God bless
Yours in the master’s service,
