Update on John and Nok
John and Nok continue to lead the Pathumthani church and are training their members to make disciples among their unreached families and friends in their home villages. They have a very focused goal to begin new churches in villages that have no believers or churches (52 million Thai Buddhists live in villages that do not have a church). They are seeing wonderful miracles in five provinces in Central and NorthEast Thailand, which are the most neglected areas of Thailand with the smallest Christian presence.
Suphanburi Province
Mr Prasoot was healed from stage 4 terminal lung cancer after a new believer in his village prayed for him. He has since led hundreds of Buddhists to Christ through sharing his testimony of the saving power of Jesus Christ. Recently he received a telephone call from the hospital as his sister had suffered a major stroke. The hospital informed him that she had stopped breathing and had passed away two hours ago. Mr Prasoot immediately prayed in the name of Jesus that she would be raised from the dead – and to the amazement of the doctors, when they went back into her room she was breathing and conscious again! Now she is out of hospital, fully healed and praising Jesus for her salvation.
Khon Kaen Province
In one village where there are five families of believers, God is doing miracles! Grandma Pensri was blind due to cataracts but didn’t have money for the operation. After trusting in Jesus, she laid hands on her eyes and prayed for healing every day for one month. At the end of one month, she opened her eyes and could see perfectly! Her whole village came to know Jesus as a result of this testimony.
Mahasarakham Province
This church was started when one lady decided to follow Christ after Nok shared the good news with her. Her husband threatened to kill her but had a dream about Jesus and now he has led four families to Christ!
Buriram Province
Many monks in this province are now following Christ, helped by a book Nok has written that explains the gospel in a way Thais can easily understand. Some are now asking to be baptised.
Nakorn Nayok Province
These pig farmers had only one pig and it gave birth during the night. They found a baby piglet lying there, dead and cold but after they laid hands on it and prayed in the name of Jesus, it was resurrected!
