Partnership Overview

Miguel is an elder in the church. He is dedicated full time to discipling and preaching the gospel in the fast growing city of Puerto Maldonado. This is a jungle city that is well under-evangelised. Miguel has started working with a group of children in a suburb of Puerto Maldonado with the goal of evangelising that area.

Puerto Maldonado is a jungle city in the southern Amazonian region of Peru. This is a fast growing area and needs to be evangelised. Miguel and his wife are very dedicated to the Lord’s work here.

History Of Partnership

Bright Hope World has partnered with Godofredo Rubio as he seeks to evangelise in the Cajamarca region of Peru since 2001.  In mid 2008 he approached us regarding the possibility of financially supporting Miguel as he seeks to reach out into the southern Amazonian region of Peru.

Miguel and NancyBeneficiaries

This project provides financial support to Miguel and his wife enabling them to become freer to be more fully involved in the work of the Lord.

What We Like About The Partnership

Of all the people Bright Hope partners with in Peru, Miguel is the only person working in the south so it is exciting to be able to support him.  He has a real heart for children and realises the future value of working with children and impacting the lives of the next generation for Christ.

Key People

Leadership Profile

Miguel has been serving the Lord full time since 1997 and is joined in the Lord’s work by his wife, Nancy. Miguel is a teacher by profession and teaches in a Polytechnic College on Saturdays.  They also have a restaurant that helps provide some financial support as they work full time for the Lord.

Miguel and Nancy have two children, Robertho Miguel who is 19 and Nacy Lilibeth who is 17.

Vision And Annual Strategy

For many years Godofredo (PER01) has had the vision to identify areas in the south of Peru where there are opportunities to evangelise and see new churches established. It is exciting to see Miguel take up that vision and have a real desire to reach previously unreached people in Puerto Maldonado.

Update January 2013

Miguel and his wife have now got some employment and are able to support themselves. BHW financial support has therefore been stopped.
